Chapter Three: Ryoma and Shinichi

Chapter Three: Ryoma and Shinichi

Sanada Ryoma can’t sleep. He just can’t. There is no reason other than the return of his Shinichi. Ryoma wonder, a lot of times actually.

Ryoma wonders if Shinichi even remembers his promised to him when they were a kid. That one promise was Ryoma’s everything. He refused to think that Shinichi had forgotten it.

He had waited and waited for when they would turn 18 so he could marry Shinichi properly. Or more like, wait for when Shinichi turn 18 since Ryoma himself is 18 already as his birthday was September 18.
So when Shinichi suddenly didn’t contact him for more than a week later, which was the longest time that they didn’t talk or chat, Ryoma got worried. Really worried. Really Really-super really- worried. So to keep himself occupied, he tries to level up his character online, Rainouji. Is read Rain-ouji, because Shinichi likes to play in the rain like a fairy.
Ryoma knew that Shinichi was in South Korea with his beautiful mother, Yuna(Yuina) and his strong dad Shunichi-san but for some reason, Ryoma just can’t stay still. Every blood in his body stirred in a way that made him remembered that one memory from the past that turned his blood cold.
There’s something in the air that’s making Ryoma… unable to even have a peace of mind. He tried to call Ryoma a couple of times per day on their usual time for calling, which was after dinner and before Ryoma left for practice at the dojo. Then days turned into weeks and Ryoma was losing a lot of sleep due to worries. Still, Ryoma keeps calling Shinichi, even in the middle of the night, but there was no answer let alone replies from his text messages or voice mail.
It was when school started that Shinichi and Yuki didn’t return that he got really worried and he told his father. His father tried to call Shunichi-san but there was no reply. Then Ryoma started to panic in a way that made everyone around him suffered with either worries or nightmare. The annoying type of nightmare.
Just a sudden as when Shinichi stopped calling him, a couple of months later, a lawyer came with bad news to his father and he just happened to be in front of the door, listening to the worst nightmare of his life taking place.
It was the news of the deaths of the Aikawa family, leaving only Shinichi as the only survival. Ryoma didn’t know whether or not this is a joke so he stormed into their conversation, by then, his father was in tears. His father, Sousuke Sanada who had never cried before in his whole life, cried. It was then that Ryoma knew that it wasn’t a joke.
Ryoma did the only thing that he could then.
He ran. Like Madman possessed. There is no way that’s true! His Shin-chan isn’t dead, he knew it! His very being is telling him that Shinichi isn’t dead!
He ran. He ran to Shinichi’s house and ring the doorbell for hours. But there was no answer from Shin-chan nor from the weakly Yuki. Ryoma stood in front of the Aikawa house for hours until it rained and his father came pick him up. Ryoma didn’t know, he didn’t know that he was crying silently as he waits in front of the door. He didn’t even remember that Shinichi had long ago give him a spare key to his house. In his panic, he was just an idiot. A lovely idiot who’s everything is Shinichi himself.
By the times that Sousuke, Ryoma’s father, got there. He had fainted from emotional overload. Something that had never happen to him before, even when he nearly kill someone.
He was sleeping(fainted) like a little baby in front of Shinichi’s house so he didn’t know that his father got him home but by the time he woke up, three days has passed by. It seems like he really got pneumonia from falling asleep in the rain. Still, Ryoma clearly remembers everything that happened. Beside the fainting part.
That’s why, now in his dorm room, Ryoma is so scared and so very afraid that if he’ll fall asleep now and wakes up tomorrow, everything that happens would be a dream. So he refused to fall asleep, even if his body demanded it.
To counter the sleepiness in his eyes, Ryoma’s mind took him back to when everything changed. Back when Shunichi Aikawa and Yuina were still alive. Back when Shinichi first join the dojo for the first time even when he have three other teacher who teaches him martial arts that had nothing to do with swords like his grandpa’s dojo, which mainly focuses on swordsmanship. Any kind of swordsmanship.
11 years ago. Midsummer, at the Sanada Main Dojo.
“Shinichi, what do you want to be when you get older?” Ryoma nervously asked when they were doing their Kata. Shinichi was sweating with a face flushed of exhaustion from swinging a weapon that he never had used before. However, when Shinichi first joined them a couple of weeks ago, Ryoma didn’t know that Shinichi Aikawa is a newbie to swordsmanship and had shown the little green eyed-angel the way how to handle a wooden sword. He picks up way too fast as the results. Ryoma still thought that Shinichi had learned from his other three teachers that teach him martial arts. So he had taught Shinichi a far more advance technique that his father had taught him to Shinichi.
Shinichi stopped swinging his wooden tachi as he paused before smiling so bright that it caused Ryoma’s eyesight to be blinded with loves.
“I’m going to be your bride!” Shinichi smiles brightly as the sun shined in the background. Making the little green eyes beauty of a boy look like a golden angel that descends from heaven. Ryoma dropped his daito and kodachi both at the same time. That’s right, he’s a dual sword-user. His father is also a dual sword user to and damn, is he fast with two swords.
“S-shin-chan, you know that if you want to be my bride, you’ll have to talk to your papa and mama to engage me right?” Ryoma stuttered as his face flushed bright red. His heart was beating so fast that he had a hard time picking back up the daito and kodachi wooden swords.
“Ehhh??? That’s too much trouble!” Shinichi sadly pouted before suddenly brightened up with a really happy smile on his face.
“I know! Why don’t we have your grandpa and papa engage us now instead since my papa and mama aren’t home! And then we can call my mama and papa later when they’re back! Yuki would also be really happy too!” Shinichi replied happily.
“Ehh?” Ryoma didn’t know whether he was dreaming or disillusioning. The smiling angel in front of him still keeps swinging his kata for the 1999 times.
“~Ehhh?~ Shin-chan and Ryo-chan are getting married?” A childish voice called from behind Ryoma, along with a giggle that was far too amused for their own good.
“S-sei-chan! Hana-chan!” it was the Sakurai twins from Sakura Blossom class who happen to be the second dojo’s master’s children. Who’s also one of his father and Shinichi’s father’s best friend from childhood and school?
“Eh? Is not married but engage, Sei-chan, Hana-chan.” Shinichi rebuttal back with a pout on his face.
“Ehh? But if you’re engaged to Ryoma, I can’t be your bride anymore.” Answered Hanato with tears in his eyes. Seiichirou signed out loud at Hanato’s proclamation. Seiichirou can feel the emotions in the depth of his soul soared out with jealousy at that proclamation from Hanato. Hana is HIS! Not someone else!
“Hanato, you can’t be Shinichi’s bride anyway. After all, you’re my bride already.” Seiichirou sighed out loud as he shakes his head at Hanato, who pouted a little, before narrowing his eyes at Shinichi with a coldness that made Shinichi cried out frighteningly.
“Waaaaaaaa~!” Shinichi broke out crying as his eyes caught into Seiichirou’s eyes. Seiichirou
“S-shin-chan!” both Hanato and Ryoma shouted as tears fall from Shinichi’s green eyes, making a perfect scene of what a bully would do to a beautiful girl that he liked.
“What is going on?!” asked a voice that could only be identified as Ryoma’s grandpa because of how powerful it sounds.
“Grandpa!” Ryoma shrieked in fear as Shinichi just cried louder and more piecing.
“Why is Aikawa-kun crying?” asked Ryoma’s grandpa, Genpachi Sanada. This old man might be old but he’s one hell of a strong old man that it made the hair on the back of all present shivers and shudders.
“Grandpa!” Cried Shinichi as he ran to grandpa Genpachi and hug his leg all the while crying.
“Ma ma ma, don’t cry Ai-chan. Tell me what’s wrong?” All the Sanada’s love for Shinichi is really much, to the shock of everyone else. Since Shinichi’s father, Aikawa Shunichi, is a grandson to the Sanada, naturally, Genpachi Sanada is like Shinichi’s grandpa too. Not to mention, his only son Sousuke and Shunichi are best friends.
Beside, Shinichi is far too adorable, too cute, and far too naive for a boy his age that made him really protective of him as if Shinichi is his own grandson along with Ryoma.
“Not my fault.” Seiichirou pouted as he dragged Hanato to his side. Showing a possessiveness that makes Ryoma sighed out loud mentally and made Genpachi look at the twins in concern. After all, possessiveness is in the blood of the Sakurai. Seiichirou and Hanato’s mother and father were relatives who fell in love at the young age of 8 years old when they’d first met and had refused anyone else for their whole life until they’d married one another.
“Sei-chan… why did you glare at Shin-chan?” Hanato is confused as to why his brother, who’s always smile and calm got so mad at Shinichi. And why? Hanato had wondered. Ah, is it because Hanato had said that he can’t be Shin-chan’s bride? Hanato might be a bit of an idiot but that doesn’t mean that his dumb. Is totally different.
But.., Hanato wanted to be Shin-chan’s bride! Shin-chan is strong and cute and adorable and he knows how to cook delicious food! If Hanato married Shin-chan, then is it a guarantee that Hanato will get to eat a lot of delicious food!
Seiichirou who saw the look in Hanato’s eyes sighed out loud. He should have known that his Hanato would want to be Shinichi’s wife because of food. Right. FOOD. Hanato is a really big eater. Is a good thing that he can’t get fat. Otherwise, with Hanato’s bottomless pit of a stomach, he would have long ago turn into something completely inhuman like.
“Hana, what did you promised me just last week huh?!” Seiichirou is really pissed right now even if he looked really calm.
“Huh? Last week?” Hanato tilted his head as he tried to recalled what he promised. Ah! That’s right!
“Ahhh… sorry Sei-chan. I forget…” Hanato finally remembered his promise to his twin older brother.
“What was your promise to me last week?” Seiichirou wanted to have everyone know of his promise.
“That I will be your bride when we come of age,” Hanato said guiltily as he looked down on his feet.
“Eh? You can marry your own brother?” Shinichi asked confusingly as he sniffed and let Ryoma dried his tears for him.
It wasn’t a surprise that Shinichi would be shocked at the news because, Shinichi didn’t know that the government had long passed a Law that allows siblings to married each other, to preserve the bloodline in Japan, he’d just moved here a little while ago. One month to be exact. The law was created especially for the Royal families since they don’t want their bloodline to end with commoner’s blood. And because of that law, another law was made. Or more like, a program that was made to protect women and girls since the ratio for birth had been decreasing for a long while now. Now, the ratio for average birth is 1 girl in every 10 or so boys. It was a disaster.
The family who gives birth to more than 1 girls was giving a bodyguard and monthly money for foods from the government. It was that bad.
Wrong. It had long been bad. Things have changed ever since that meteor had hit earth and poison the air back in 2098. Ainsin Meteor. But that’s another story for another time.
It was to the point that government interferes with families that give birth to more than just one girl. That’s one of the reasons that girls haven’t gone extinct due to mishaps from society. To make up for the low ratio of girls, the government did a research about 100 years ago that give males the possibilities to give birth. It was called Project Birth. Back when the government announced that they will be conducting that experiment, the society gotten into a panic and boycott were everywhere.
It was a time of Chaos. You could say that this project was what most human called “Adam’s Sin.” However, their opinion soon changed.
The government made a shocking news worldwide. They’d let the truth out that girls birthrate will go into a red-zone in 20 years or so. Back then, that news alone made the society fear for their family members. Girls were forbidden to go outside without two or three bodyguards with them and richer families started to ‘buy’ girls from common families into their family. His family was different because his great-grandparents were already married and have three girls and ten boys. Yep, Ryoma’s family is really big. In term of ties. Now? There his grandparents, his parents, and him. So only 5 people, not including the maids and butlers.
And then, the United Kingdom made their first announcement that they’d succeed with their Birth Project. The news made other countries like China, Russia, and America gone into a state nearly lead to another World War 5. World War 3 was because of energy source which leads to food shortage, World War 4 was because of Territory for new islands. And the 5th will probably be because of Birth Rate. Which hasn’t happened yet? Good, don’t let it happen, please. He didn’t want his Shin-chan to be in the army or as a soldier.
When WW3 took place, about 19.49% of human was lost. That’s millions of billions of people. About 30% of humans immigrant to live in the sea in the man-made islands, which leads to an increase of resources from the sea. Lands that float on water. The Freedom Island, the Platform City, Future City, Sea City. Just to name a few cities out there in the ocean that flow with the sea by using water-plantation, which provides powers and fuels for the island, and dry-oz, a new type of concrete that have 35% air atoms, which was found after ten years after the Ainsin Meteor. The water plantation convert the ocean water using the water conversation from the sea: hot or cold didn’t matter since the engineering itself made it possible.
If you study history then you’ll notice that about 500s or so years ago, everything was rather peaceful yet crime rate was rather high. All because of lands. It was real… too complicate to explained.
There was no war that could cause the majority of the human into extinction as of yet. But now, the crime rate is so low that there’s only one jail in the whole country. Such as Japan. It only has one Jail now since there’s no need for more jail. Crime rate is low in Japan all due to Virtual Reality gaming. About 200 or so years ago, Virtual Reality Game became possible all due to the contribution of Japan, Korean, China, America, and United Kingdom’s ALL OUT Project. All crime rate decrease due to the increase of Virtual Reality Games. That’s a positive correlation relationship.
Anyway, Shinichi asked that questions because out of all the countries in the whole world, South Korea does NOT allow Family Marriages. That is until the new Prime Minister came in a couple of years ago. But by then, the Aikawa family was no longer in Korea. Still, his grandpa from Korea still has respect for their old laws and it affects Shinichi and Yuki in a way that made them aware that they are family and can never be anything other than siblings. Which is why Yuki is such a fangirl for the Japanese Yaoi Community that she nearly-just nearly- make Shinichi date boys. Not that he mind but too damn bad, he has his own type.
Which was a good thing for Ryoma, otherwise he would had a lot more rivals.
“Eh? Shinichi, in Japan, we can get marry to our own brothers or sisters to preserve the bloodline you know?” Hanato answered back as if it was the most logical thing in the world. Shinichi blinked a couple of times before smiling and nodding.
“Okay, I understand!” Shinichi replied back after he wiped off his tears with an adorable smile on his face.
“Anyway, Hana, you can’t be Shin-chan’s bride because you’re my bride and Shin-chan is Ryo-chan’s bride, Got it?” Seiichirou said with a tone that clearly said it is a fact and is not arguable.
“Okay, but Shin-chan you have to make lots of sweets for me okay?” Hana said as he grabbed Shinichi’s shoulder.
“Hmm!” Shinichi didn’t see why not? Since he has to cook for Yuki anyway, why not make sweets for Hana-chan too? Both Yuki and Hana-chan have a really sweet tooth!
“What is this all about you being Ryoma’s bride?” Grandpa Genpachi was confused at such talks since he had never heard of it before. He knew that his grandson like Shinichi but there was never any talk about it. Not that he mind. Actually, if Yuina-chan agrees to it, that would be great.
“I’m going to be Ryo-chan’s bride when I grow up! It is my dream!” Shinichi had said with a big smile on his face that made all the adults and children surrounding them gaps in awe. Ahhh so adorable~!
“Bride? You sure Aikawa-kun? Ryoma isn’t really strong you know?” Genpachi asked with an internal smirked at Ryoma, who just knew that his grandpa is making fun of him as he glared at the old man.
“Ehhh? But Ryo-chan will get stronger you know. Beside, Ryoma is going to be a King someday!” Shinichi yelled at Genpachi’s face with a look of determination and total confidence.
“A King?” Genpachi was confused. It wasn’t like them from Royal bloodline or anything like that so why did Shinichi say that? Yuina had told him before that Shinichi sometimes talk like he knew what was going to happen in the future and it sometimes comes true. Okay, a lot of times it came true. So, does that mean that his grandson is going to be a King in the future?
“Why would you think that Shin-chan?” Hanato was curious and so he asked.
“Arg, I don’t know why but I know that Ryo-chan will become a King in the future and I will be his Queen!” Shinichi explained with a look of happiness on his face that clearly said that he believe it and know it. All the adults, Ryoma’s father, and grandpa, were really confused as to why that is but Ryoma didn’t doubt Shinichi. He took that one sentence alone and made it his goal.
He still doesn’t know when or how but, he knew that he will be one if Shinichi wanted him to.
“I see. Then, Aikawa-kun. Do you want to engage to Ryoma?” Sousuke Sanada asked for the first time since he got there. His voice was soft yet control and full of life that it made Shinichi smile even bigger than ever.
“Eh! I’m gonna be Ryo-chan’s bride so you can’t let anyone else be his bride okay?” Shinichi replied back with eyes of innocents that clearly show a rare look of possessiveness in them, surprising both Genpachi and Sousuke. It seems like Shinichi is more like Yuina than Shunichi.
“Ryoma?” Asked Sousuke toward his son since he had long ago told Ryoma the procedure of a Male engaging a Male involved in. Is clearly different from how a girl and a boy engage but there’s a similarity too. Like drinking from a cup of sake.
“Yes, father. I want Shinichi Aikawa as my one and only bride. I shall love and protect him for the rest of my life!” There is no way that Ryoma was going to let someone else have his Shin-chan. Shinichi is his! When Ryoma said that, Shinichi’s eyes glitter in happiness as a smile adore his face.
“Okay. Since both of you boys had chosen to make his decision yourselves, I won’t interfere. You know what you have to do, Ryoma. I will call and talk to the Shunichi and Yuina-san for you guys.” Sousuke said as he went back inside the dojo. Genpachi smile as he thinks of what the future will bring for his two grandsons before nodding and pat Shinichi’s head as he headed back inside the dojo.
“Shin-chan, give me three drops of your blood,” Ryoma said as he grabbed onto Shinichi’s hand and pulled him towards the Main house. Seiichirou and Hanato followed them without having to ask since Hanato is one curious boy and Seiichirou does not want to be parted from his twin.
Inside the Meditation room in the Main House is an Alter that have the ceremony sets of small bowls for the engaging procedure.
“Nee Ryo-chan, why do you need my blood?” Shinichi asked confusingly. It wasn’t like he was afraid of the pain since he’s pretty used to getting hurt from practicing with Ryoma and his other sensei-tachi but rather, it was out of curiosity.
“Your blood is now mixed in with mine with a cup of Sake to Show the Gods that we are tied for life,” Ryoma explained as Hanato and Seiichirou nodded in agreement since they’d both knew of this as they already had done their ceremony just three months ago.
“Okay, three drops right?” without waiting for confirmation from Ryoma, Shinichi bit his thumb and let the blood flows out.
“Shinichi!” Ryoma was shocked. He was planning on using a small needle to poke Shinichi’s finger but to think that Shinichi would bite himself. That will hurt his Shin-chan!
“What? Hurry up and bit your fingers too!” Shinichi whined with a pout as he holds his fingers higher to stop the blood flow for a bit. Seiichirou and Hanato were gaping at the scene in front of them.
“Shin-chan, you know you don’t have to bite it you know. There’s a needle in it too.” Seiichirou explained after his shock clear off. Seiichirou shakes his head at the stupidity that Shinichi just shows but didn’t say anything else.
“I don’t like a needle!” Shinichi pouted with a downcast. Ryoma has to clenched his fist in control to stopped himself from kissing Shinichi right there and then because of the cuteness from the scene alone.
“Okay, got it,” After that Ryoma bit his own thumb too since it’s unfair if only Shinichi is hurt because of the ceremony. Which he quickly licked it up; Shinichi’s. Causing the said boy to blinked in surprise before grabbing Ryoma’s hand and licking his too, causing the taller boy-Ryoma- to blushed so red and froze for a bit before shaking his head to clear his mind and then proceed with the ceremony.
They both let three drops of their blood drop into large cups of sake that’s about a 10 milliliter, then divided the sake into two smaller ceramic cups and drink it. Shinichi nearly drowns the whole sake bottom after that because he really likes the light sweetness from the sake and caused Ryoma to panic in a half-intoxicated state. Then before Shinichi have to go back home to cook for Yuki, Shinichi stole a kiss from Ryoma without warning, causing Ryoma to fainted due to all the excitement.
Ryoma smiled at the memories. 11 years has passed in a blink of an eye. Wow… times flies.
Just two more week and Shinichi will be 18. Finally, it’s nearly time for their wedding. However, there a problem that’s been on his mind ever since he can’t reach Ryoma 5 months, two weeks, and 3 days ago. Who’s counting?
Will Shinichi even remember that they’re engaged to one another? That’s the one thing that gives him nightmare after nightmare every single damn night. So to escape the nightmare, he would full drive into the game nearly every single damn night. He only didn’t when there’s too much paperwork left from his responsible as the dorm head. When that happened, he would stay late into the night and sleep like a log until the next day without a nightmare. But since he freaking damn hate paperwork and the like, he tends to leave them to the vice-dorm-president, who happened to be his cousin, Makoto Sanada, whose grandfather and his are brothers.
Makoto Sanada is oldest out of the five boys from the branch family of his other grandpa. He is four months older than Ryoma himself so they’re both now are 18 years old. Makoto is also in his guild in Destiny Ignition Exceed as the treasure hunter, the one who hurt for treasure for their guilds. He and Ryoma have always been looking really alike but there is also a lot of differences. For one, Ryoma’s hair is red while he’s black. Makoto is also shorter than Ryoma by 4 inches, a subject that must never speak out loud in front of him. And last but not least, Ryoma is a martial artist and Makoto is a Painter. Other then those differences, their personality are also one thing that is different, Ryoma is possessive, a brat with a nasty side that he always hide behind a bratty personality, and his everything has and always will be Shinichi.
But Makoto? He’s homophobic. He can’t stand it when any boy, older or younger, eyed him with any attention of a partner. He will flip. Makoto is the type that is calm and really realizing but when flipped, his personality takes an 180 degree plus 45 more degree turns. Is that bad? Still, not as bad as Ryoma though.
Especially when it comes to Shinichi. If you think that Makoto was bad like a hysterical woman in her PMS time, imagine a devilish man who didn’t bother annoying the hell out of you nor glare at you with death. Instead, his will quietly come up to you and then kick your knees, making you kneel on the ground. And then, grab your neck with a deadlock that sends chills upon chills down your whole body before start to break your bones one at a times. You will wish that you were dead but the pain will also make you awake.
First, he will start with your smallest finger, and break the phalanges(the joint of the fingers apart) one at a times while holding you still with an acupuncture point, and then continue breaking them in a way that won’t make you unable to use your finger for the rest of your life but will make you wish that you can’t used them again to avoid the pain. He will then half closed his eyes with a look in them that make you wished for a devil instead of him.
That’s the kind of man Ryoma Sanada is when his beloved Shinichi is hurt in any way. His turned cold, merciless, ruthless, and one hell of a scary man that it will make you wished you never meet him.
With his cousin Makoto, you will only punch a couple of times due to his hysterical state but with Ryoma? You will wish that you would dead. It was that bad.
That’s why, if you ever encounter a situation when the air around you suddenly dried out its warmth and silences stirred your mind, Run For Your Life! And don’t hit on Shinichi! That’s the only warning that Seiichirou and Hanato will get you because they have no wish to see that Ryoma ever again.
What?
No matter how stronger Seiichirou is compared to Ryoma, Seiichirou knows that he will die shall they really fight for real. There is no fu***** way that he would want to fight Ryoma. He would fight with the -fake- Ryoma who’s always bratty for Shinichi’s attention but there is NO WAY in Hell that he would ever want fight with a quiet Ryoma.
But then again, Seiichirou also understand that shall anything happened to his Hanato, he could and will get almost as scary as Ryoma. He just lacks the bloodlust intents that seems natural to Ryoma. Maybe is because of that accident back when they were kids that Ryoma is like this now. He didn’t use to be like now. He had always been a bratty kid who is a tab bit too spoiled and lazy but when he meet the Aikawa, he changed.
The bratty and spoiled Ryoma change into a hardworking boy who’s everything is a boy named Shinichi Aikawa. A boy who know how to cook like a professional, enough to make even his own twin wanted to marry him. And that, pissed Seiichirou off like nothing in the whole world did before. A cry-baby who’s a genius at anything he does. Aikawa Shinichi is probably the only being in the whole universe that make Seiichirou shuddered just from seeing him cry. And he meant shuddered from fear, not something pervert. Only his Hanato could make him shuddered in that way.
Anyway, Ryoma doesn’t know what to do if Shinichi really did forget that they’re engaged. Just the thought itself was scary enough to make Ryoma lose sleep night after nights. It was to the point that Ryoma has to sleep in the game, where dreaming isn’t possible. Yet.
Ryoma has to fight with the inner demon in him to stop himself from going back to Shinichi’s room and stay there watching Shinichi sleep. Is really creepy how much possessive Ryoma is when it comes to Shinichi when he didn’t care for anything else. Ryoma is the kind of man that doesn’t give a shit about what anyone said as long as he gets what he want.
If someone were to describe Sanada Ryoma with words then the first three words were charismatic, calm, and intelligent. All those were somewhat true but if you asked Seiichirou or Hanato for their opinion. The first were be Passionate. And then, faithful. After that, devoted or dedicated. They knew this because all his life, Seiichirou, and Hanato have never seen him look at anyone else besides Shinichi with anything that could be called an interested.
Aikawa Shinichi was the only one that Sanada Ryoma have ever love. He’s probably only that Ryoma will ever love too. That’s why Seiichirou and Hanato will never think of thinking that Ryoma will forget about Shinichi as times goes by. That’s impossible.
Oh, Ryoma is friendly alright. But only to who’s that he off, like friends or childhood friends. However, both the Sakurai brother knew that deep down, there’s a demon that Ryoma had locked away inside him. A demon called “Wrath”. And that demon only appeared when Shinichi is involved. Like that one time when a pervert nearly kidnapped Shinichi-whom didn’t even notice it. Ryoma flipped. And it scared Shinichi so bad that his mind chose to forget that event completely from his brain.
It was that scary. So scary that Hanato would have a nightmare and wake up crying into Seiichirou bed for a whole month.
Sakurai Hanato, the cheerful idiot who have an IQ higher than his calm brother who is the Student Council President of the school, got scared so badly from seeing the looks in Ryoma’s eyes that he got nightmare for a whole month.
Can you imagined what will happen if Ryoma let Shinichi seen the full blow of his wrath?
Ryoma winced at the thought of Shinichi getting scared of him. It breaks his heart in a way that slowly killed him inside.
However, what Ryoma didn’t know was that Shinichi remembered that event already. He had remembered it after trying to kill himself the first time back at the hospital. And it does scare him. Frighten him actually. But, it wasn’t enough to make Shinichi hate him. Just the opposite, Shinichi will never tell Ryoma this but have Ryoma angered because of him just made Shinichi fall more and more in love with his fiancee. Even if said fiancee doesn’t remember their promise.
Or so Shinichi had thought.
____ The Next Day____
Since Ryoma can’t sleep the whole night, he’d got up early and finished his work for the day with 2 hours to spare. He has to stop himself from going straight to Shinichi’s room because of the urges to see Shinichi to confirmed that Shinichi is really here at the school, and won’t be leaving him anytime soon.
Still, before he knew it. Ryoma was in front of Shinichi’s door already. He blinked in surprised and blushes. To think that his body would move without his knowledge. Still, Ryoma hesitant to knock the door. Maybe Shinichi is still sleeping. Ryoma tried to convince himself.
However, before he could move his feet and turned back to his room. A scream resounds from inside Shinichi’s room. A scream that made Ryoma’s heartbeat in worries.
“Gyaaahhhh!~” it tore from inside.
“Shinichi?!!!” Ryoma bangs on the door as a barely sound whimpered sound from inside. He only heard it due to his sensitive ears.
“Shinichi! Please open the door!” He yelled as he bangs on the door, not too hard but enough that the sound echo across the hall.
The door clicked opened from the inside and a closed eyed, crying and whimpering, Shinichi slammed into his chest crying.
“What’s wrong?” Ryoma asked as Shinichi whimpered into his chest. The sight makes his chest tighten in pain. He never wanted to see his Shinichi cry. He never wanted to see his Shinichi sad. He only wanted to see his angel smile happily with a naive that only Shinichi have.
“Shinichi… Please don’t cry.” Ryoma was hugging onto Shinichi was they both slump onto the floor with Ryoma holding onto Shinichi. They stay like that for a while until Shinichi calm down and Ryoma closed the door before princes’s styling and pick up Shinichi into his arms. Shinichi whimpered as he tightens his eyes closed and hocked his arms around Ryoma’s neck and snuggled into his chest like a protective blanket.
As they both set on the bed, Shinichi still has his arms around Ryoma and Ryoma didn’t want to let go anytime soon either so they both stay like that for a couple of silent minutes before Ryoma attempt to speak up.
“Shin-chan?” Ryoma called softly with a voice that he reserve for only Shinichi. Shinichi perked up at the voice and the concerned found there.
“Ryo-chan… my eyes… is hurts.” Shinichi sniffed as he replied softly without opening his eyes. He knew he was acting like a baby for his age but he can’t help it. No wonder how much pain tolerance he have, the headache that comes with his sight was far worse.
“Hmm? Let me see Shin-chan. Come on.” He pleads softly. What’s wrong with his Shinichi?
Shinichi slowly let go of Ryoma’s neck and slowly opened his eyes for Ryoma. The sight that greets Shinichi made him froze as his eyes make contact with Ryoma.
He blushed bright red. Causing Ryoma to smile softly at Shinichi and pulled him closer, which in turn just caused Shinichi to blushed brighter with a small smile on his face. Ryoma’s hand caressed Shinichi’s face as he looks for what is wrong with his Shinichi.
The only difference from yesterday was that Shinichi’s golden-green eyes are now both the same colored on both sides, which was Golden- red. A combination that makes Shinichi, even more, cuter and more adorable than ever. He might be a bet bias though since anything that Shinichi did or do was always one way or another cute and adorable in his eyes.
“Your eyes… they’re golden red now… Can you see?” Ryoma asked cautiously. He didn’t want Shinichi to panic.
“I can… see even better now for some reason. Ryoma~…” again, Shinichi cried in worries and pain as his vision made the headaches in his brain throbbed in pain. Since Shinichi had always had a 20/20 vision, now that his eyes can see even clearer, the strains that it comes with make Shinichi’s head hurt.
“Shin-chan, can you tell me what that is?” Ryoma pointed to a small, really small letter on the calendar hanging on the wall all the way across the room. Shinichi opened his eyes and nodded before closing them again and hid inside Ryoma’s chest. Ryoma sure is wicked that he found Shinichi cute at a time like this.
“Shin-chan, what is the third letter of the first word under the word Month?” Ryoma wanted to see how far can Shinichi see now.
Since now is on October 2, a couple of months since school started, the calendar was informing events of upcoming events like the Leave Festival in their school.
Shinichi opened his eyes and look over at the calendar, and said without hesitation whatsoever. “L from leave.” before going back into Ryoma’s chest and closed his eyes with a whimpered from his lips as the vision show more light in the room and made his head hurt even more.
Ryoma nodded before reaching for his telecommunication watch that operates like a cell phone via wireless and a watch at the same time, and click on two buttons as a hologram can up showing a screen that could only be called a phone.
A second later, the sound of a phone paging can be heard as it ring. Shinichi was curious at to what but when he opened his eyes to look, the pain make him whimpered again and closed them tightly.
“Hello?” A voice that doesn’t sound sleepy at all answered and Shinichi immediately know that it was Seiichirou whom Ryoma had called.
“Seiichirou, could you go to my room and bring me my old glass from my drawer and bring it to Shinichi’s room,” Ryoma asked.
“Hmm? what happen?” Seiichirou sure catches up really quick. Too quick.
“Just bring it. You’re right next door anyway.” That’s right, Seiichirou and Hanato’s room were right next to his just in case.
“Sure.” Seiichirou ended the called. Ryoma got up and put Shinichi on the bed reluctantly as he didn’t want to separate them but must.
“Shin-chan, let me closed the curtains?” Since Shinichi didn’t close the curtain all the way before he fell asleep last night, the light in the room was lite up brightly. Which was why it hurt so much. Shinichi let go and hide his eyes from the light in the room until Ryoma come back and hold onto Shinichi again.
Causing him to blushed deeply, which make Ryoma chuckled.
“Why are you blushing Shin-chan? I am your fiancee, you know?” Ryoma half tease Shinichi half reminded him. Shinichi froze before slowly looking up to Ryoma with a surprised and pleasing looked in his eyes. The water in his eyes just makes Shinichi’s eyes, even more, cuter than necessary, if it was even necessary for the beginning.
“You remember?” Shinichi didn’t know whether he should cry or smile at the happiness that he feels. He had thought that Ryoma might forget they’re promised already. Oh… Oh… please, don’t let this be a dream.
“What make you think that I had forgotten our promised Shinichi? You have always been my bride and will always be..” Ryoma kissed Shinichi’s forehead with a small blushed on his cheeks and pulled Shinichi closer to him, possessively. There is no way in hell that he’s going to let Shinichi go.
A knock on the door came before Shinichi could answer Ryoma. As Ryoma steal a kiss from a blushing Shinichi before quickly composed himself and went to opened the door while Shinichi closed his eyes tightly from the light that gets inside from the door.
Outside was Seiichirou and a yawning Hanato.
“Come in.” Ryoma tried to block as much of light as possible but his only one man as some light from the hallway shined through the cracked, Shinichi whimpered, causing him to pull the two siblings inside without a word from them before closing the door with a near slam.
“Shinichi, are you okay?” Ryoma went straight to Shinichi’s bed and pull him back into his chest, making both the Sakurai brother lift their brows in question at the scene. From what they’ve known, Shinichi and Ryoma had never shown signs that could be count as lovely-dovely with each other. But then again, is not like Hanato and himself were showing off their love live either. I mean, why the hell would Seiichirou let anyone else see how adorable Hanato is beside him?
All of the Sakurai bloodlines are always possessive of their lover, even Hanato whom never show it but get freaking damn scary when he think that someone would steal his brother away from him.
“Seiichirou, where are my glasses?” Ryoma asked as Shinichi calm down a bit.
“Here.” Seiichirou handed Ryoma the glasses in his hand as he watches Ryoma put it on Shinichi with eyes full of caress and love like when he look Hanato when he did something particularity cutely. Hanato is always cute thought.
Shinichi blinked as his eyes adjust from the light and the dark aspect from the sunglass. It took a couple of minutes for Shinichi’s full vision to adjusts to the light or lack of light in the room, from other’s perspective.
“How do you feel Shinichi?” Ryoma asked as he softly caressed Shinichi’s face with a gentleness that makes Seiichirou and Hanato rolled their eyes.
“Hmm… is better now,” Shinichi replied as he sighed out loud as the throbbing pain from his eye sight lessen.
“De, explain why you have to wake us up this early?” Seiichirou demanded.
“Well… that’s my fault.” Shinichi sniffed as he wiped tears away from his eyes. Making Ryoma gazes at him lovingly.
“So?” It seems like both Seiichirou and Hanato are a little-pissed off because Ryoma wakes them up from their sleep. Or so Shinichi thought. It was actually because both Seiichirou and Hanato were in full drive in the game and was doing something private, yet got interrupted from Ryoma’s called that they’re both pissed.
“When I woke up this morning, there was a lot of lights in my eyes and that hurt my eyes so really much. And then there was s-s-something a-appeared and vanished like a g-ghost.” Shinichi shivered as he hugged his pillow tightly.
Ryoma smile at the image. Out of all his grandpa’s student, Shinichi is the fastest at learning and the one with the most pain tolerance out of all of them but his also the one that cries the easiest too. He hates anything like spider, snake, and cockroaches and mouse. Basically, anything that is dirty.
Oh and ghost. Shinichi is especially scared of ghost. Zombie and the likes that have a body? Shinichi doesn’t care about them but a ghost? He will go berserk on them. But ghost? Consider yourself lucky that he faint from the fright. If not, well… asked Seiichirou for more detail you will? (No, Ryoma isn’t scared of Shinichi when his like that…. maybe.)
“Hoh?” Seiichirou exclaimed as he watched Hanato climbed into Shinichi’s bed and poke at Ryoma’s ribs as revenge for interrupting his and his brother’s personal time together. Not that it affect Ryoma. Just annoyed him.
“Yeah. I thought it was a ghost until I noticed that I can see the shapes of the dust in the air from the sunlight ray. And then, I noticed that everything look really cleared and my head start to throb in pain and my eyes start to hurt.” Shinichi nearly whimpers at the end of his explanation before fixing the sun-glass or goggle on his face by scrolling the “mouse” like the scroll on the left side to change how dark the shade on the goggle is.
Seiichirou looks at Ryoma with his brows lift for confirmation from Ryoma. He nodded. Seiichirou has to say, that’s really not good. Shinichi has always had 20/20 vision. If he can see better than before, just how much will that strained his brain and eyes. It will hurt a LOT.
“I see. Let’s test how far you can see with the goggle on then Shinichi.” Hanato piped up with a grin on his face.
“Well… let’s see. Seiichirou, go flip the calendar to any other month that you want and point to a random word there for Shinichi to read.” Ryoma said pointing to the calendar on the far end of the wall. It was a good 15 meters away from the bed where Shinichi is currently sitting on so it should be impossible to read any letter there that’s smaller than front side 20. Seiichirou nodded in understanding and complied with Ryoma’s request to testify Hanato’s inquiry.
“Shinichi, what does it said here?” Seiichirou chooses the smallest one in the middle of a bunch of words that formed a paragraph in December. Shinichi blinked before looking at the word that was right on top of Seiichirou’s finger.
“Danger,” Shinichi replied.
“And this?” Seiichirou moved his finger a couple of lines down.
“Snow.”
“This?”
“Avalanche.”
“This?”
“Street.”
“This?”
“Heater.”
“Thi-?” Seiichirou stopped himself before he could continue. He had already proven Hanato’s question.
“Okay…” Both Seiichirou and Hanato exclaimed at the same time as their eyes meet. A full conversation was going on between them in a mere two seconds.
“Shinichi, this is really bad.” Hanato closed his eyes.
“Yeah, is bad.” Seiichirou agreed. Bad for what? Shinichi tilted his head, not understanding the disadvantage that will come with.
“What?” Ryoma was getting paranoid with the Sakurai brother.
“You do know that the Nerve Drive connects to your neurons through the scans from yesterday’s exam right?” Seiichirou was referring to when Shinichi was been scanned by the machine down in the Game Center. Shinichi nodded.
“Well… You will have to go back to update your information again because the Drive Pod that will be coming on Monday is base on those codes but now? You vision changed so you need a new one.” Seiichirou informed Shinichi while Hanato was nodding in the background.

“Why? Can’t I just not play?” Shinichi seriously wanted to pout but he isn’t 7 anymore.

“No, Shin-chan. The principal’s son is one of the developers for this game so he makes a rule that every student in the High School Section must have at least 48 Hours in Games to passed a term. So, you will actually need 144 Hours in Game total to passed and you have to be level 20 Plus to graduated.” Hanato tells Shinichi with the grin on his face.

“Besides, Shin-chan, Destiny Ignition Exceed is really fun! You can play it however you want and no one will say anything to you! You can play as someone who will fight or just play as a casual player! You can cook, fish, skin animal of all kinds, mining, and the likes. You can even marry in the game! Of course, there is no gender limit! I and Sei-chan are married in the game too!” Hanato was clearly really excited and it shows thru his eager voices. Seiichirou was smiling and nodding along with Hanato’s explanation,

“And of course, if you’re married both in Game and Real then the limitation for Sex are lifted and you can even have sex in the game!” Seiichirou was trying to be helpful with that information but all he got are bewilder look from Shinichi and a red face Hanato as replied while Ryoma facepalms himself.

“S-sex?” Shinichi blushed bright red…wait…

“Ryoma! Are you cheating on me behind my back?!” Shinichi didn’t know whether he should cry or slab Ryoma at the thought that he might cheat on him in the game. Surely, since Ryoma is really adorable and he must be really strong in the game too, the thought that all the girls will be all over Ryoma make Shinichi pissed off.

“Eh? Shin-chan, that’s impossible.” Hanato answered him with a wave of his hand while Ryoma was in a shock at what Shinichi had asked him. Was Shinichi jealous? He didn’t dare to think of that.

“And why not is that?” Shinichi asked as he blinks in surprised, for some reason, Shinichi is always finding himself acting like a child when his with Ryoma, Seiichirou, and Hanato. Maybe is because they’re best friends and they all knew one another enough that no secret can stay secret for long that Shinichi found himself always acting like a baby in the group. He is the youngest in the group since both Seiichirou and Hanato’s birthday are on April 14 while Ryoma’s on September 29 and Shinichi himself is on October 15.

“Because Ryoma didn’t even look at any other person without comparing it to you. Not to mention, Ryoma loves you too much to even thinking of someone else.” Seiichirou was the one that answered Shinichi while Hanato nodded in agreement. Ryoma himself was looking at Shinichi with the tip of his ears red in embarrassment.

“Really?” Shinichi was pouting with a hopeful look in his eyes at Ryoma. Ryoma has to blink in surprised before smiling softly and leaning in to kissed Shinichi on his cheek with a soft answered of ‘You are the only one Shin-chan’. Causing Shinichi to get teary and drive into Ryoma’s chest with tight hugs, surprising everyone in the room including himself.

Surprising for a bit, Ryoma quickly holds onto Shinichi with as much as pressure as Shinichi hug him. Ryoma has to fight back the urge to just kiss the hell out of Shinichi.

‘Oh god, I love Shinichi so much. Please don’t separate us again.” Ryoma pleads in his head. Just a 5 month or so separation and Ryoma was sure that he can’t live without his Shin-chan anymore. If he has ever been able to before.

Seiichirou and Hanato could have sworn that Ryoma was crying as he hug Shinichi but the room was a bit far too dark for them to be able to clearly see.

“I love you Ryo-chan!” Shinichi yelled into Ryoma’s chest with a cried. Shinichi has no clue how long ago it was that he cried because he thought that Ryoma forgot that they’re engaged. He really thought that Ryoma didn’t love him the same way that he loves Ryoma since Ryoma himself never kiss or hold his hands as lover do before. It makes Shinichi doubtful and scared that Ryoma doesn’t like him. After all, Shinichi falls for Ryoma even before Ryoma knew of him.

Back when he came to Japan for the first time with his father to visit Sousuke-san, Ryoma’s father. Back then, Shinichi saw Ryoma practicing his two swords in the backyard. It was love at first sight. Even if Shinichi was only 4 at that time, he clearly remembers the boy with two long wooden- almost twice as tall as himself- swords that have hairs that lite the fire from the sun into life. Since then, Shinichi had dreamed of Ryoma a lot of times. Too many times before they’d moved permanently to Japan to live because of Yuki’s illness. To think that Ryoma suggested them getting engage back then, it was the happiest moment of Shinichi’s whole life.

And now that boy is holding onto him as much as he’s holding him. If only his parents and Yuki are still alive, he would have run to them and start doing dances in happiness at them. Boasting his relationship with Ryoma to them. But, they aren’t here anymore. Tears clouded Shinichi’s vision again and this time, Shinichi have to move away from the warm chest that his holding onto to wiped away his tears.

Seeing the two boys holding onto each other like that, Seiichirou was sensitive enough to give them spaces so he signals for Hanato to come with him back to their room. Hanato pouted but didn’t argue and left the room with a soft sound that didn’t even register into Ryoma or Shinichi’s mind.

Ryoma started to softly kiss Shinichi on the cheeks, forehead, nose, eyelids, chin and then finally, on the lips softly. He wanted to show Shinichi that his really precious to him by softly kisses him. Over and over again. And Again. To the point that Shinichi was smiling like an idiot at the kisses before he kisses Ryoma back on the lips with blushes adoring his cheeks. And then they laugh softly while holding hands.

Shinichi and Ryoma both fall onto the bed while holding each other’s hand. Ryoma has to hold himself back from how adorable Shinichi look in his goggle, he was tempted to removed it for a bit so that he could see Shinichi’s eyes.

But no, it will hurt Shinichi’s eyes so he restrained from doing so. They stay like that until the clock on Ryoma’s watch/phone ring at exactly 6 A.M, which is the time that Ryoma used to train himself and meditate outside of the game.

“You wake up at 6?” Shinichi asked surprised.

“Yeah, to meditate and train,” Ryoma answered.

“Hmm, I have to do some exercise for rehabs too.” Shinichi blinked in surprised at the reminder, causing Ryoma to chuckled and grin in a teasing manner,

“What does it includes?” Ryoma asked,

“Huh? oh, 150 sit-ups, 150 push-ups, stretches on arms and feet. 45 minutes of meditating. Three times a day. In the morning, lunch and before going to bed.” Shinichi counted from the top of his head.

Ryoma blinked.

“Isn’t that a bit too much for a rehab?” Ryoma asked in worries.

“Nope, the actual number was only a third of that but I found it too little so I been adding it whenever I feel that it wasn’t enough.” Shinichi grin back at Ryoma.

“Geez, Mister Martial Artist Genius, don’t push yourself too much okay?” Ryoma teased before getting up from the bed, causing Shinichi to get up too.

“Baka.” Shinichi pouted, causing Ryoma to chuckled softly.

“Wanna join me?” Ryoma asked as he holds onto Shinichi’s hand softly, Shinichi nodded with a blush on his face.

“Kim-kun show you around already right?” Ryoma asked and Shinichi nodded while letting go of Ryoma’s hand and making his way to the closet for a change of cloth,

“Remember where the Gym is at?” Ryoma asked.

“Gym? No, he shows me where the Cafe, Bookstore, Gaming Room, cafeteria, and Library.” Shinichi doesn’t remember if Ryousuke had even shown him where the gym is at.

“Okay, change and wait for me. I need to go change first. Then we’ll go together okay?”

“Okay.” Shinichi didn’t want to separate from Ryoma yet, though. Seeing the anxious look in Shinichi’s eyes, Ryoma smile a bit before walking behind Shinichi and hug him from behind.

“Shin-chan, I will be back in 5 minutes okay?” Ryoma asked softly with kisses on the nap of Shinichi’s neck. Shinichi has to fight back the shivers and blushes away from his face before nodding.

God, Ryoma didn’t want to let go of Shinichi at all. Sighing internally, Ryoma let Shinichi go with a regret that came way too soon. He already is missing the feeling of Shinichi in his arms.

Better go before he can’t anymore.

As Ryoma left, Shinichi touches the spot that Ryoma’s arms were with a blush on his face. Oh god, Shinichi just wanted to be in Ryoma’s warm arms for forever, With a sighed, Shinichi grabbed his work out cloths, a long jogging pant, a small face toiler, and a white t-shirt. Then Shinichi tied his hairs into a pony tail before making his way to the bathroom that’s attached to his room.

Like I said before, Shinichi’s room is freaking huge. It was enough to fit three King sizes bed and three other desks with left over spaces. After finishing his morning routine in 4 minutes flat, Shinichi went back to his bed and sit there waiting for Ryoma. He didn’t have to wait long.

A knock came from the door and Shinichi could tell that there’s someone else at the door with Ryoma. Blinking in surprised, Shinichi went to opened the door,

“Shinichi,” Ryoma called with a soft smile on his face once the door opened, Beside Ryoma, however, was someone that Shinichi hasn’t seen since 3 years ago.

It was Ryoma’s cousin, Makoto Sanada.

“Ryoma. Makoto-kun,” Shinichi greet them as he stepped out of his room.

“Ayo! Long time no sees, Aikawa-kun,” Makoto greeted with a smile on his face. Shinichi and the Sakurai twins are the only ones that Makoto could tolerance even if they’re gay. Simply because Shinichi will never see him as a potential partner with Ryoma by him’s side. The Sakurai twin doesn’t give a damn about him in any way that will give him the creep so they’re fine too.

Especially when all four of them have their own boyfriend/fiancee/bride/husband already. In they’re presences, Makoto feels save.

“Long time so see, Makoto-kun. How have you been?” Shinichi asked as they make their way toward the gym with Ryoma leading.

“Fine… I have been doing really well. I even have a girlfriend now.” Makoto grin.

“Hoh?” Shinichi was surprised. Now a day, these that have girlfriend or boyfriend are like really rare.

“Yep, I meet her in DIE. She’s in the same guild as us. You should join us Aikawa-kun!”

“Makoto, Shinichi hasn’t play DIE yet.” Ryoma butted in before Shinichi could say anything, causing Makoto to paused in surprised.

“…”

“Ryoma, what is ‘guild’?” Shinichi asked Ryoma softly as they walk away from Makoto without caring.

“A guild is a group of people that’s similar to how yakuza group is made or like how school clubs are forms. The direct definition is [a medieval association of craftsmen or merchants, often having considerable power or
association of people for mutual aid or the pursuit of a common goal.
]”

“Oh? You and Makoto are in the same guild?” Asked Shinichi.

“Yep. And so does Seiichirou and Hanato. Also, grandpa is in the guild too.” Ryoma smirked.

“What? Grandpa play DIE too?” Shinichi was surprised. He didn’t know that Destiny Ignition Exceed was so popular that even someone like Genpachi Sanada would join.

“Well, grandpa join a couple of months ago when he found out that there are dragon and dinosaurs in the game. He wanted to play just so he could kill a dragon but in the end, he made father join too.” Ryoma didn’t know why his father agrees to it thought. His grandpa? He could understand an old man strong man seeking opponent but his father? Not to mention his mother? It seems like his mother joins only to spend more time with his father since in game times is 5 times slower than in real life.

“EH?!!! Sousuke-ojii-san?!!!” Well… this is the biggest surprised of the year, that much is true. Sousuke Sanada is the quite intelligently yet deadly type of man that doesn’t have any weakness. That’s right, no weakness. Ryoma’s weakness is Shinichi. Shinichi’s weakness is a ghost. Grandpa’s weakness is also Shinichi and his wife. Shinichi’s smile, to be more specific. But, Sousuke?

Truth be told, sometimes Shinichi wonder if Sousuke isn’t a robot instead. And Sousuke is the kind that if was an assassin, he would kill everyone including the contractor themselves. Or if his a gun, he would be an MSG. The silent one, Silent yet deathly.

Wait… Don’t tell me,

“Ryoma, what’s Sousuke-san’s class?” Shinichi is really suspicious now.

“… Dark mage/assassin that doesn’t use a staff or a dagger.” Ryoma answered with a facepalm.

“Dark mage?” Shinichi knew what an assassin is but a dark mage?

“Yeah. Deadly silence magics that doesn’t require him to actual cite the whole incantation. And an assassin that uses all kinds of weapon but a dagger.” Ryoma sighed out loud at the end of his sentence.

“…” Shinichi didn’t know what to say to that, He knew from watching the trailer and the beta video on youtube that anything is possible. But… this is…

Just what sort of guild is Ryoma’s guild?

“Ryo-chan, what’s the name of your guild?” Shinichi can’t help but ask.

“… you really wanna know?” Ryoma asked.

“yeah,” Shinichi answered as they both opened the door to the gym. Humm? Where’s Makoto? Ahhh, there he is. Is he still out of it? oh well…

“Risky Enough to Die,” Ryoma answered with a winced.

“Grandpa named it huh…” Ryoma nodded.

They both smile to each other before proceeding with their own schedule. Of course, Ryoma stole a kiss before going to do his thing, however. Shinichi did something far more worst for Ryoma.

Ryoma didn’t know whether or not he should call it the devilish move or the angel’s love.

Ryoma kissed Shinichi on the cheek.

Shinichi kissed him on the lips.

With tongue.

And teeth.

Okay, that’s it.

Ryoma’s in heaven.

Or Hell.

The next hour and a half, Ryoma can’t barely remember any thing. His body went to auto drive but his mind was in a whole different world. No progress was recorded for his little efforts this time. The same can’t be said for Shinichi though.

Chapter One: Starting a New Life

Chapter One: Starting a New Life

“…” Talking/ when there’s * next to the sentence, Shinichi is speaking Korean.
[Thinking thoughts are in here.]
“Italic means flashback” except when is a Translation from Song
[CAPS IS FROM THE GAME SYSTEM]

There was a saying from the old day that lives are harsh only when you can’t enjoy it.

This saying has always been Shinichi’s favorite because no matter how hard things get, Shinichi would and could always find one thing in them that made him smile. He have three childhood friends who went to the same high school as him.

He has a great family even if his twin sister is really sick. He has four great-parents and two grandpas and grandmas that really love him and spoil him.

There was nothing that he finds unpleasant. Even if his parents are rarely home. Even if his sister can’t even stay out for more than 3 hours a day. Even if his friends always called him a girl-no no no, I am not a girl.

Yes, even when he had to watch the one that he loves the most said that they are only friends. Not anything else… Really, Ryoma? Even after that ceremony?

Even with all the possible problems that a teenage face, every day of his life was spent with no regrets.

Even when his sister is bored and forces him into cross-dressing. Yes, even that. As long as his sister is happy, he was willing to do anything.

He did well-exceptional well- in school. He always has friends over to his house on weekend, both boys and girls-rarely- who wanted to meet his sister. His parents even if rarely home, love both him and his sister to the point that he sometimes get annoyed. Even when Shinichi was so busy with his life that he rarely have times for himself, he was very happy.

In Japan, the education system was a lot alike to Korea, China, and Taiwan.

Their education system from elementary consists of 7 years of learning. To middle school is another 5 years. Then high school was another 7 years. Starting from pre-school at the age of 3 years old, school last until you are 22 years old. These are for general education only, though. College was another whole new level. There is still the two years programs in majority of the college in Japan however, most college have four years programs system, six years program system, eight years system. These are all undergraduates educations in college. For the grads, they are different.

Even among all these studying, Shunichi had always made Shinichi take martial arts combat to armed himself. Although, the people that teach him was questionable in both origin and jobs.
“NO! You are too adorable Shin-chan! What if someone kidnaps you or rape you or-or-or… Whatever it was. Just be sure that you can protect yourself at all time. Besides, your sister really wants you to take that class.” This was Shunichi’s excuses everytime that Shinichi told him he would quiet one of the martial arts class. After that, there is no way that Shinichi would quiet.

His father had told him when he was only 5 years old.

With the persistence from his father and the doll eyes from his sister, he agreed to take only 3 classes of martial arts. Only to find out that those three class have other 6-classes sub-categories that he must take.

Yet, he was still happy since he gets to see his love one every day. Contradiction to belief from his classmates, he didn’t feel suffocating with all his times being filled with by martial arts.

Even with that, he had spent 4 years in elementary, and 5 years in middle school to learns them all. Until he learned that all his teacher had made him the instructor to an army of the elite…. which was before he was even fifteen years old. There was nothing that he could do, Shinichi knew that this isn’t a mandatory but rather an obligation toward his own country so he did it.

At least until he got sick of all the looks from his so called students and his teachers.

Before the field trip to his mother’s hometown in Korean, he informed his teachers and masters that he was quieting martial arts. They cried- those damn oyaji. They totally made it a bigger deal than it was and costs nearly the whole country to lose.

He has enough, instead of playing virtual games and hanging out with his friends and sister, most of his free time outside of sleep and school times spend learning martial arts. Now he really has enough. He is going to have fun with his sister before her appointed surgery and not thinking of other irrelevant things.

Yet, here he is in a hospital, trying to make sense of what just happened.

Why is the wound closer so fast?  This is the 6th times that he tried to killed himself already. The first time he used the fruits knife to cut his wrist, it healed in 30 seconds. The second times he used the fruit knife to cut his throat, it heals in 3 seconds. The third time he hang himself, only to the rope to vanished into thin air.

The fourth time he tried to drown, only for the water to evaporate into the whole bathroom and making a messed of things. The fifth time, he tried to burn himself to death, only to have the fires put out by a wind that come from no where.

The sixth time, he jumped from the top of the floor. Only to have his legs and arms broken yet was healed in 47 seconds. Which is happening right now.  The blood from his head has already healed 20 seconds ago. The pain he felt from his back is now nowhere to be found, only the lingering feeling of numb is in place. Of course, out of all the times, he tried to killed himself, he made sure that no one is near, and no camera can see him. It wouldn’t be funny if the nurse or guards found him before he dies and saves him.

… that’s it…

He gives up. The pain that he went through every single time when trying to killed himself isn’t a joke. Even with his high tolerance of pain, it still hurt enough to put tears in his eyes.

[What the hell?]

Shinichi though as the broken bones in his legs and arms healed themselves.

Ding dong “Aikawa from room 2145 please make your way to the director’s office. I repeat, Aikawa from room 2145 please make your way to the director’s office.” came from the announcer in a mechanical voice, in Japanese. Shinichi got over his shock of how a Korean hospital could have international languages announcer long ago already. So, he wasn’t surprised that the announcement was in Japanese but rather that the direction told him to go to the director’s office.

[The director’s office? That’s Minion Kim oppa’s office right?]

Minyeon Kim, 35 years old man who won’t let Shinichi called him Mr. Kim or Kim-sensei.

Minyeon is also the one that took over his training regiments for him. For him to called me into the office, what is going on?

As Shinichi stand up and twist his legs to test the pain, only to find none existed with a frown on his pretty face. Shinichi then made sure that there was no evidence of himself of what took place.  Shinichi walked toward the director’s office, which is located in the west of the Rehabilitation Center.

When he get there, the nurse smile courageously at him for some reason, before going their way. What is going? A siren ring in Shinichi’s mind, making him suspicious of what is going on. An automated drone greet him before continue cleaning the floor. Shinichi pats the machine with a small smile before proceeding toward the office.

Shinichi knocked on the door three times before going in. In front of him is a man in his 30s who look more like his from the army than a doctor with his hair parted back and eyes full of laughing. The man was tall, about six feet tall, with a full build body that wasn’t too muscular but wasn’t lean either. He has the look of both a supermodel and a pop-stars, yet he’s a doctor and the director of this very hospital.

In short, his the type of guys that could easily made into a pop-star or model if he wanted. Yet, he didn’t. However, he have more connection to uses than a director from a hospital should have. Since this hospital was connected to both the military and the police safety department, it had senses that he, as the director, would have more connection. The only reason why his teachers and the Japanese’s military department didn’t get involved in the rehabilitation of Shinichi was only because of the director.

“Kim-san?” Shinichi asked alertly at the looks in Kim’s eyes. Soft and happy. Whatever it is that the man was planning is going to make Shinichi happy, that much was already on Shinichi’s mind when he saw the looks in the director’s eyes.

“Ah, Shinichi-kun. Come seat. I have something to inform you.” The man said in full Japanese.

Shinichi sits down on the sofa in front of the director as he sighed out loud. The phantom ache from the wounds could still be feel but strangely enough, Shinichi could tell that the bones, ligaments, tendons, and muscles was fully healed. Even the blood veins and the nodes could be feels. Shinichi found this newly acquired abilities of his… a pain in the ass.

“Kim-san, is something wrong?” asked Shinichi as he relaxed on the sofa. The sofa was a small three person sofa that is colored in a set of rainbow colors that matched the director’s personality, Shinichi had noticed when he first set foot in here. On the wall was a painting of a large sunflower and a small group of children playing. In another word, this office was very brightly decorated.

“Shinichi-kun, your rehab has shown a truly remarkable progress that surprised all of us, your trainers and supervisors. So we talked to the military department, and we all agree that in a week time, you can go back to your ordinary life.” Minyeon says with a soft and happy tone for him.

“I’m sure that you missed your friends and school, so we decided to let you go back to school with a Notice to your school last week. We receive a replied back just this morning. Hoseiki High School would like to accepts you if you passed their Examinations online. Would you like to take this test?” Asked Kim.

Shinichi didn’t know what to think or do. Hoseiki High School was his father high school and it was his first choices for high school along with Ryoma, Seichirou, and Hanato, his three childhood friend whose father also goes there.

But… Shinichi hesitant. Questions and doubt enter his mind. After what happened, Shinichi hasn’t even contacted them.

Ryoma is going to be pissed, Seichirou and Hanato must be really worried about him by now since he just disappeared without letting them know. They all know that his on a vocation with his family but what kind of vocation last half a years? The school has already started three months ago but here he is, doing rehabs day and night all the while trying to kill himself with every chance that he got.

If they knew… Oh shit. Just thinking about it bring chills down his spines. Ryoma won’t hesitant to beat him to the ground with his martial arts, which is on another whole level from his. Hanato is going to cries softly in worries and Seichirou will enter one of his rarely pissed expression that could freeze a person’s soul.

[Hontouni okotteruyo, Ryoma de…] (Really pissed at me, Ryoma that is…).

Still, just thinking that he still have them waiting for him with open arms was enough to make his eyes tears up in happiness. Back to home in Japan where Ryoma, Seichirou, and Hanato are waiting for him?

“Yes, please,” Shinichi answered with a smile for the first time since he wakes up in the hospital. Causing Minyeon to froze and blinks.

“Wow Shinichi-kun, you’re smile is really nice. You should smile more often.” Say the director with one of his smile himself. The kinds of smiles that would cause nurses and patients to blush bright red. That kind. Yet, it has no effects on Shinichi since he’s used to his little sister’s smile. Which is-was a killer in and off itself.

“Okay then, make your way to room 2546. There’s a computer set up there for you to take the test. If you need anything else, the nurse in that room know and she’ll get it for you. If she can’t, she’ll notify me.” Kim directed Shinichi.

Standing up with a new found energy that the director has never seem, Shinichi walks out of the office with a small smile on his face.

When he get to the assigned room, there was one PC and the homepage for the test set up all ready to go.

“Aikawa Shinichi?*” asked a girly voice from his left.

“Yes.*” Shinichi replied in Korean, causing the nurses to smile.

“The test is set up and all ready to go. Please take a seat and you can begin after reading the  sample test.*” informed the nurse.

“Thank you.*” Shinichi replied back as he set down. The first ten minute Shinichi asked for a pencil and some blank paper. Then for the next three hours, Shinichi focus on the test. There was math up to algebra 1 and geometry, science up to Earth science, Japanese history from the Heian era and World history,  Reading comprehensive and Writing Essay on a specific topic that used less than 3000 words and 1500 words minimum, and then the last part was English and Foreign words test. Those are only the primary general test, the rest covered a lot of other subjects that both middle schooler and high schooler would had to learn.

All iShinichitakes 6 hours total to take the test. He toke a break once every two hours for drinking and lunch but after that he went back to the room and take the test until he finished.

The first three parts was kind of easy for Shinichi but when he got to the world history part, Shinichi got stuck there for a couple of minutes. He then guess them because it was multiple choose. Then the next part on the Essay, he decided to write about his teachers who teaches him martial arts. The topic was [What is one thing you’re proud of? And why? What is one reason why you might not be proud?] Then he submitted the test as his done.

Shinichi is really proud of his teachers. His also really proud of his father and mother but… the wounds are to deep on that area so Shinichi can’t write about them yet.

After that he went to the cafeteria for dinner and then a couple hours of exercising for his rehab then off to sleep.

The next day he wake up and went through his normal routine of exercising and attending lectures from the doctors and nurses about getting back into the society. Since his a Japanese citizen, the doctors made him read about Japanese news and society on the Nets instead of going through the normal ones for the Korean.

One of the topic that he recently read was the newly updates for one of the world largest Virtual Reality Games. They had release the Hand-Gears Nerve Connection system to the public. It was about how you can virtually level up your characters in real life by connecting to the Hand-Gears Nerve Connection with a ratio of 1:1. Shinichi didn”t get it at all since he didn’t play virtual reality games but he knew that this gears won’t be as successful as the news let out. Why? The ratio was good but the technology implement in the gears was already outdated since five years ago. Shinichi had used them for teaching his students a couple of times and it wasn’t accurate enough.

That’s until he told them that his a half Korean half Japanese that they made him went through both sides of the country’s society. He have to compare and contrast the differences and similarity.

His routine at the Rehabilitation Center would be like this:

    • 7:00 Am; Wake up, Showers and norming routine.
    • 7:30 Am: Breakfast
    • 8:00- 11:00 AM: Exercises and Meditation.
    • Then 30 minutes break
    • 11:30-12:45 am/pm Lunch times
    • 15 minutes break
    • 1:00- 2:30 pm Reading Times
    • 3:00- 6:00 pm Exercises and Meditation
    • 6:30- 7:30 pm Dinner
    • 8:00- 10:00 pm Learning Back into Society
  • 10:30-5:00 Pm/AM Light Out

And repeated. On Sunday is a free- day but all other days are like the above schedules. Unless he was called to the director’s office or something. Like now.

From here on is in first Person View

It was after lunch that a nurse informs me that the Doctor Kim, the director wanted me in his office. What is it this time?

Don’t tell me I failed the test? Like seriously? I might not have perfect memory but my IQ isn’t that low either.

Knocking on the door three times, I opened it and steps in with a little bit of nervous air.

“Kim-san?”  I asked a bit nervous. I admitted test isn’t my thing.  And if I failed, I won’t get to see Ryoma, Seichirou, and Hanato for a while.

“Shinichi-kun, don’t be too nervous. Come in! And Congrats! YOU PASSED!” Doctor Kim happily announced with a grin on his face.

I paused. Not knowing what to do. Really? I passed? Well, I haven’t doubted my educations but that school wasn’t a normal school….

“Yes, you passed! With a flying color in fact. The principal at Hoseiki High is willing to give you a full scholarship base on your writing and science score, which is 100% correct on both of them. In fact, they’re willing to let you stay in the dorms there if you can be a tutor for the students in their elementary school as a job. What do you say?” Kim asked with a sparkling eye that clearly shows his excitement.

“Tutor?” Asked Shinichi, a little confused. Why would the offer him that job? From what he knew of his father’s story, there five positions for tutoring at Hoseiki only. For them to offer him that position. There must be a catch.

“Yes, it seems like their last tutor had graduated and they can’t seem to find the right person for it so when they seem your test, they want you to tutor them as a job. What do you say?”  explained Kim.

“What do they want me to tutor them in?” Asked Shinichi.

“Actually, this year Hoseiki High school change their affirmative to an All School, which have grades 1-12 now and they want you to tutor the 5 grades in Math and Science. They also want you to teach them basic cooking, ah don’t even lied, I know that you have a really kin sense of taste, so don’t even start.” Doctor Kim warned Shinichi just as he’s about to complained.

Of all things; Math and Science he could understand. But cooking? what the hell. I don’t understand what they are planning. How the hell did the director found out that I like cooking anyway? I never even research anything about food when I was reading! However, teaching cooking huh….

“What are the wage?” I asked, completely serious.

“Hmm, let’s see.” Kim took out a folder and flip through them.

“It says here that for both Math and Science is 4 hours per day for 1200 yens hours. And for the cooking class, it says here that it could either be count as a class credit for 4 credits or 800 yens per hours, per students and depend on when classes take place.” Kim informed Shinichi.

Hmmm… I don’t have to worried about money since my parents left the insurances payout for me. For dad, since he mainly lived in Chicago and work there, the money from his insurance are in US currency and is $1,210,928.00 while mom was the president for iGameNation in the United Kingdom so is in Euros of €4,156,000.00. That money are more than I could use in this lifetime but that doesn’t mean that I can just not work. Aside from that, their life insurances were also about $10,000,000 each, take or minus a couple hundred. And Yuki’s insurance was also another fifty hundred thousand U.S.D.

“Okay, I accept their terms. You also say that I could  just live in the dorms right?” Just to verify.

“Yes, there’s five dorms at Hoseiki. The Star Dorm, Moon Dorm, Daylight, Daybreak, and Midnight Dorm. I have no clue why they named it like that but lets not asked.  You will be staying in the Daybreak dorms which consist of the 4-6 years that you will be teaching.” Kim inform.

“Okay. When do I start?”

“In four day. Ah, don’t worry. I already got your passport and everything else ready so all you have to do now is get ready and pack up.” Kim grinned with his dimple showing. Oh, that’s great, I was worrying that it might take more than a week or two for the documents and passport and stuff to proceed.

“Okay, I will.”

“By the way, Shinichi-kun. Your plan is leaving tomorrow at 7 A.M so don’t be wait for.~!”

“W-what?!” What, like what the hell?!

“Go get your stuff read,” Kim says with a look in his eyes that made the air chill.

“H-hmm.” I nodded. There is nothing that I can do besides nodding when Kim got like that.  And so I made my way toward the gym to informed my trainer and the staff there of what took place and earned hugs and tears for lucks. Then I made my way toward my room to get ready. Is not like I have a lot of stuff, is mostly my mother, father, and Yuki’s kinds of stuff that need to be pack. Why do I have their stuff?

When the accident happened, it was our last day for the vocation and I made mom and dad pack their stuff because they tend to forget their stuff since we were supposed to leave in the morning. So their stuff and mine were saved from the fires. Ahh, not good. Don’t think too much about it Shinichi. I told myself before the tears in my eyes can fall down. The next couples of hours, I spend on packing and organizing the Korean books and novels that Director Kim give me. After that, I took a shower and set my alarm clocks to 5 AM then went to sleep at 8:35 Pm.

I wake up to the ringing of the alarm with a yawn and slowly stretches my body, trying not to hurt the nerves in my stomach, which was the only thing left from the accident that proves that I had survived the fires. Doctor Kim was really surprised that there were no scars on my stomach from the metal pipe but then again, me surviving was already a miracle enough so anything else was just the effects.

knock knock

“Come in,” I said.

The door opened and doctor Kim was standing there with his arms cross on his chest.

“Shinichi-kun… are you ready?” he asked.

“Yes, I packed everything. Now I just need to use the bathroom and finished my morning routine before we can go.” I said as I made my way toward the bathroom attached to my room as I take off my shirt, showing my skins on the way. In the corner of my eyes, I could see that doctor Kim was blushing but whatever, it’s not like he never seem my skin before.

As I finished, I noticed that my suitcases are nowhere to be found.

“Doc, where’s my stuff?” I asked a little puzzled.

“My assistance already toke it to the car. I will be taking you to the airport.” Kim says with a little smile on his face.

I smile a bit and nodded as we both walked out of my room, leaving my sleep wears nicely stacks on the bed for the nurse to find.

When we got to the airport and finished checking in, doctor Kim was looking a little sad.

“What? What is with your expression*?” I asked in Korean. Since Minyeon Kim is also a half Japanese like me, I rarely talk to him in Korean. But this time, the words that enter my mouth was in Korean without I’m noticing until it’s already been asked.

“Is going to be lonely at he hospital without you Shinichi.*” He answered as he tried to grin but instead, it was a sad smile. True, now that he mention it, There aren’t a lot of people in the Rehab Center. Especially, there aren’t any people that can take Kim’s personality for long like I did, even when I was only there for two weeks since I woke up.

“Hah if you change your personality a bit then there’s a lot of people who will like to be by yourself,” I answered back without remorse.

Kim giggled as he nodded in agreement.

“Hey, Shinichi-kun. Could you sing me a song in Japanese before you go?” Kim asked with a hopeful look in his eyes.

“What? I can’t sing!” I denied. No way am I going to sing here. This is the airport you know. And how does he know that I can sing anyway?

“Liar. I heard you singing in the roof a couple of weeks ago.”  Kim rebuttal with a grin on his face that says he have evidence.

“You! You were ear-dropping on me?!” How dare he!

“Is not like I intended it. I was just going there to smoke and I accidentally heard you. Now, are you going to sing or not. If you not, I am going to send the video of you singing to all the students at Hoseiki.” Kim totally blackmailed him. Shinichi knew that he was serious with the looks in the doctor’s eyes.

Signing out loud, I admitted defeat. Better sing now and get it over with, or else he really well send that video to everyone at Hoseiki and troubles will follow me then. Especially when I know that he could and would if he didn’t get what he want now.

“What do you want?” I asked with no energy whatsoever. Might as well as get this over with.

“That song that you were singing back at the roof,” Kim answered with a look of winning in his eyes. This doctor…

“Fine.” That song was one of the old songs that my father really like called Shinai by Rurutia except that he like to sing it like a ballad song. I used to not get that song at all until that accident happened and left me all by myself.

I started off the beginning of the song with a humming that draws the attention of everyone around me. Not that I noticed because I have my eyes closed. Is too embarrassing to see how doctor Kim is looking at me.

Sukoshi zutsu chikadzuite kuru no
(Little by little, am I getting close to you?)
Kaze ga hiete kitara yoru ga kuru wa
(Would the freezing wind bring me the night?)
Jikan nara ikurademo aru kara
(There’s plenty of time to spare)
Hate no nai tegami wo anata ni kakou
(so let me write a never-ending letter for you)

At this point, I could already feel the tears on my eyes dropping down my face. But I still refused to opened them. I wished that I could just write a letter to them, to those that left me.

Hageshii ame toka futte kuretara
(If only the violent storm would sweep me away)
Nanika ga kioku sae kakushi satte kureru no nara
(If something would just hide all the memories away from me)

Have I woke up that day without any memories of the accidents, it wouldn’t causes me to want to killed myself all those times. It wouldn’t had made my body so strange.

Ah anata dake mitsukaranai kara
(Ah Since you alone could not be found no matter what)
Kono me ni utsuru sekai wa marude uso mitai ni
(the world seen in these eyes seems just as unreal)
Ashita mo mawari tsudzukeru no
(Tomorrow will be another day set out to find you)
Watashi dake wo okizari ni shite
(Leaving me behind all alone)

Sometimes, I dreamed that all of this was a dream and when I wake up, Yuki would still be here poking my face in the morning while mom would laughed on the phone, all the while looking at my face through iFace, talking to Ryoma….

Mado goshi ni mieru densha no
(On the train that can be seen through the windows,)
Akari wa ryuusei mitai kakenuketeku
(Lights graze through like shooting stars)
Ikiba no nai yumemonogatari
(Such nonsense can not settle anywhere)
Kanawanai to shitte mo negatte shimau
(even though I know it can’t come true, I end up wishing for it anyway)

Whenever I tried to kill myself, I always wish that my dead would bring back Yuki, mom, and dad. Even when I knew that is impossible, I still wished it all the same,

Dokomade kanashimi ni somattara
(How much more should I drown into the sadness)
Tsumetai genjitsu ni kono mune wa furuenaku naru no
(to stop the shivering of the heart in the cold-hearted reality)

I still remember the pain that toke place when I spite my wrist, only to watch it heal at a pace that would’ve been impossible, leaving me cold and empty.

Anata dake mitsukerarenakute
(Ah Since you alone could not be found no matter what)
Setsunasa no nami ni tada kezurarete yuku
(So the surges of grief carve my heart away)
Fukakute hikari wa sasanai
(It’s so deep the light can not shine through)
Watashi dake wo okizari ni shite
(leaving me behind all alone…)

Don’t leave me alone by myself, mom, dad, Yuki…

Hageshii ame toka futte kuretara
(If only the violent storm would sweep me away)
Dokomade kanashimi ni somattara
(How much more should I drown into the sadness)

Ah, someone, tell me that this is dream. Tell me that my sister is still in Japan somewhere and she isn’t dead with my parents that night.

Ah anata dake mitsukaranai kara
(Ah Since you alone could not be found no matter what)
Kono me ni utsuru sekai wa marude uso mitai ni
(the world seens in these eyes seems just as unreal)
Ashita mo mawari tsudzukeru no
(Tomorrow will be another day set out to find you)
Watashi dake wo okizari ni shite
(Leaving me behind all alone)
Watashi dake wo okizari ni shite
(Leaving me behind all alone)

When I opened my eyes, the vision in front of me was so blurry that I can’t even tell if Doctor Kim was in front of me or not. Until a soft arms encase around me into warms chest.

“Sorry, Shinichi. I shouldn’t have reminds you of them thru this song. I’m sorry. If you wanted to cried then cry. Let this be the last time that you cried for them because it will make them sad if they have seen your tears. Don’t let their soul cried for you too. Remember them if you can’t forget them but don’t cry for them even more, you will make them sad.” Kim says in a soft voice that sounds like he was crying.

Tears spill from my eyes blinding my vision more and more until there aren’t any more tears left.

Minyeon through that Shinichi might have fallen asleep if not for the wetness on his chest and the occasional sniffs from Shinichi.

He glared at whoever it was that was watching them, scaring them away so that Shinichi can cry all he want today and let it be the last. Shinichi doesn’t deserve to suffer for something that he has nothing to do with. The death of his family members wasn’t something that he can prevent. At the really least, Shinichi himself survived. That much, had already make Minyeon thanks the gods and any deities out there for watching and protecting him.

After 30 or so minutes. Shinichi lightly pushed Minyeon away.

“Are you finish crying for them?” asked Kim with like a soft whisper.

I nodded before stepping away from the chest that embraces me in kindness.

“I’m going to wash my face. Be right back.”  without waiting for an answer from the doc.  I nearly ran toward the man’s restroom. I can see in the mirror of my own reflection. Only this man in the reflection doesn’t have dark green hair anymore. Its white, close to gray now. And my eyes, which used to be light brown is now nearly golden in color in the left and bright golden on the right.

Shaking my heads to clear my mind, I then washed my face with cold water. After a couple of minutes. I came back to where Doctor Kim is still waiting for me.

I blushed as doctor Kim smile at me kindly. To think that I was crying in his chest a couple of minutes ago. Me, a MAN. Oh gosh, this is so embarrassing.

We wait in silence as the time ticked by. Before we known it, the PA announcing the takeoff for my plan was on. I stood up and face doctor Kim for the last time and bow.

“Thank you, doctor, for everything that you had done for me.” I sincerely thank him. For all that he had done for me as his job and beyond his job. I am truly thankful.

“Don’t thank me Shinichi-kun. Keep in contract okay? I have a brother working for Hoseiki named Ryousuke, could you bring him this letter? He should be the one that picks you up at the airport.” Asked Kim with a smile as he handed the letter to me. I smile and accept.

“I will,” I answered back.

“Here, this is my email address and phone number. Call me if you have any question concerning your physical condition.” Kim handed me a card that clearly shows his name, position, phone numbers and email address. I nodded and pocket the card inside my wallet.

“Goodbye, Doctor Kim,” I said and walked toward the steward waiting for my ticket. As I hand her my ticket and she checks them before tearing the button part off and gives me back the other part, I walked toward the door and made it through the connecting doorway to the air plan. Looking for my seat number, I seat down right by the window after putting my stuff away.

The next 2 hours or so, Shinichi was dead asleep because of all the crying that he did. When the plan landed and get got out, a tall stylish man that scream model was holding the sign broad that said: Welcome back to Japan, Aikawa-kun~! with a heart mark next to it.

They truly are brothers. The older brother is like a rainbow all the while his younger brother is… really… nearly the same as the older brother.

“Are you perhaps Mr. Kim’s brother Ryousuke-san?”  Asked Shinichi once he got near him.

“Ah, Yes. Are you Aikawa Shinichi?” Asked a voice so similar to director Kim that Shinichi had no doubt that they are brothers if he even had any doubt before.

“Yes,” Shinichi answered with a small smile. Causing blood to rushed into Ryousuke’s face.

“A-ah, right. Come. We’re going back to the school.” Ryousuke said nervously.

“Sure,” I answered as I followed Ryousuke.

By the time that they got to the school or  the gate at least,  Shinichi already had a nap of 4 hours while Ryousuke was going through a torture as he finished reading the letters that he’s brother send for him,

[What a guy! for my brother to be this attached to him,  there must be something special about him. And besides, this the last tutor. Hm, I wonder if they’ll listen to him, though. Those brats is more than a handful. heheheeh]

When the gate opened and Ryousuke drives through it. It opened the door to another whole new world for Shinichi. The gate itself was already about 40 feet tall and the wall surrounding it was was about 3 meters width and 38 feet tall that, according to Ryousuke, surrounds the whole school, which consist from elementary to high school and then there are the private lands for the dorms. All in the wall, it was about 13 football field. Or so Ryousuke said.

As the car into a road way that leads to the main building, no not building, a freaking damn huge mansion in European style.

The mansion itself has five floors levels and … 17 windows horizontal line from what he could tell.

[Oh my gosh, just how big is this freaking game school?!] Shinichi thought to himself as gawds at the mansion. Oh my gosh, I am so going to get lost in here. That’s the only think that appeared in Shinichi’s mind.

Ahh not good, I am so is going to be lost in this building.(A/N: So am I. Really easily in fact )

“Aikawa-kun? What’s wrong? Come in.” Ryousuke, or shall I called him Kim-kun too?

Shinichi doesn’t know if he should be nervous or excited that he get’s to go to his father’s school. Oh my gosh… The school that dad, Ryoma’s papa and Seichirou and Hanato’s old man all went to. Shinichi toke a deep breathe and steps in.

The first step into his new life.

The life of high school.

Prologue: Dead yet Alive- what am I?!

Prologue: Dead yet Alive- what am I?!

Somewhere in South Korea, a large mansion that extended to more than ten yards on the grounds was in the middle of the ocean of red fires, in the middle of the night. Screaming, crying, and shouting could be heard for miles into the forest surrounding the mansion. Inside the mansion, a couple was holding on to two teens as they ran down the hallway toward the stairs.
In the man’s arms was a girl who should have been 15 years old this year yet, strangely enough, the girl look like she’s 9 years old instead. While the woman was holding a teenage boy with long dark green hair boy that have blood trailing down on his arms and head. The boy wasn’t as tall as the woman but he wasn’t weightless either. Yet, the woman could carry the boy with little problem speak of her strengths.

“Yuna! Be careful!” The man shouted as he used his back to withstand the falling woods before it could hit his family.

“Shunichi! Are you okay?” Asked the woman called Yuna, a Korean woman whose beauty is on another whole new level. Beautiful enough that it made models and actresses look like figure stick.

“I’m okay. Let’s go,” Says the man as he shielded his wife and children down the stairs to the main lobby floor, where the doors to outside located.
As the made it through the smokes of fires, the man pushed the wife outside first to shield her. As they walked a couple feet away from the burning mansion, the boy’s on the wife’s arms begin to stirs awake with a moan of pain.

“Shin-chan? You okay?” Asked the mother in a tired and worried voice. She wasn’t really worried that the boy might die but rather that his head might hurt too much from inhaling the spokes.

“Okaa-san?” Asked Shinichi as his vision started to come to him in a haze of blurry and stars.

“Shinichi, how are you feeling?” Asked the father with a little smile on his smeared face.

“Otou-san, where’s Yuki?” The first thought that enters his mind was his little sister, whom he remembered was shield underneath his body when the ceiling collapse.

“Yuki’s fine. She’s unconscious right now but there are no injuries on her that I notice of. She should be waking up soon.” Answered Shunichi as he checks his baby girl’s head, arms, and back for any noticeable injuries. Finding none, he relaxes a bit.

“That’s good-Mom!” Before Shinichi could even finish saying his worried, at the corner of his eyes, he saw a pipe of metal flying thru the air straight at his mother. The air pressure along from the pipe was enough for alerts to rings in Shinichi’s ears.

Without thinking, Shinichi pushed his mother’s body away with a rushed of newly found energy just when the pipe piece right thru his abdominal, straight to his back.

“Grr!-” Shinichi groaned as a sharp pain costs his eyes too blurred for a second. Shinichi could have sworn that he saw a figure on top of the building for a split second, looking completely frightened as his eyes meet with him.

“Shinichi!” both Yuna and Shunichi called out. Shinichi eyes look back toward the top of the building, only to see nothing but a bending metal pole being struck by lightning.

“Shinichi! Shinichi! Shinichi! You- oh please no no no no!” Yuna hysterically yelled as she pushed her body toward her only son with tears in her eyes.

“Shinichi-” Shunichi watch as blood spills from Shinichi’s stomach, making his long dark green hairs stains. The smell of the blood wasn’t lost to him as the smokes from the building built even more higher.

“Hmm…” A small sound came from the girl in Shunichi’s arm as she slowly stirred awake.

“Onii-chan?” Asked a small child-like voice full of worried and shock as her eyes land on her twin older brother, where a pipe the length of a baseball bat was piercing right through his stomach. The ends of the pipe were facing down with blood and something else that it made Yuki’s eyes blurred with tears.

“Yu-*cough*cough*cough* ki- y-you’re okay?” asked Shinichi with a grimace on his face from the pain in his stomach.

Out of the family, Shinichi’s pain tolerance was high but with a metal pipe stuck in him, it wasn’t something that he could endure for long. No matter how strong he is, something like a metal pipe on his stomach along with inhaling a bunch of smoke had already long ago made his body weak.

“Shinichi- don’t talk! Save your strength!” Shunichi yelled as he tried to stop Shinichi from moving while trying to press the wound on Shinichi’s back and stomach to stop the bleed.

“O-onii-chan… *crying*” Yuki wanted to cry out loud as she watch her older twin brother grimace in pain but held herself in as she moved toward her brother, however, before she could reach him, from the corner of her eyes, she could see a large wood plank that’s on fire flying toward from her mother and brothers direction.

In a panic, she rushed in a bust of new found strength and pushed both her mother and brother away just as her father used his body to shield her.

Wrack! The sound vibrates across the surround as cracking sounds could be heard from the building mansion.

“Shun?” Yuna whispered as suddenly an explosion behind them exploded.

“Mom!” Shinichi yelled as he used all the remaining energy that he has to shield his mother just as glasses went flying through the air.

Nothing. Shinichi have a small smile on his face as he feels that his mother is safe underneath arms, where the metal pipe on his stomach doesn’t reach her. With that, though, Shinichi’s conscience started to blur.

The last thing on his mind was a name… Ryo-chan….
___Five Months later___

It has been more than three months since Shinichi woke up in a hospital with all his memories still intake only to find out that his mother, father, and little sister has long died while he was in a comatose state.

The doctor says that it was a miracle that Shinichi is still alive by the time that they got to the mansion. Out of 149 people staying at that hotel, only him and two other elder couple survived because they weren’t there when the mansion got burned down.

With a metal pipe sticking in his stomach and losing blood for so long that they were sure that he died but surprisingly, they save him on time. His mother, Yuna Kim, was dead already when they got there because of heart attack, his sister died an instant death from the stray flying woods and glasses.

He’s father last until the elder couple got to them when they came back from fishing but soon died after having them called the police and emergency room for the 10 times. He didn’t make it.

By the time that the police and fire department made it to the mansion, nothing were left. The people that was sleeping when the fire broke out was all burnt to dead, with the exception of Shinichi, Yuna, Shunichi, and Yuki, there was no one else that survived the fire. Or so say the elder couple that came to visits him at the hospital says. They cry and told him that their grandson had also perished in that fire. The couple was Korean so they didn’t know that in their grief of trying to console themselves, they mistakenly said that out loud, causing Shinichi’s surprisingly sensitive hearing to caught everything.

Just a couple of says ago, the police came to talk to him about the fire and the causes of the fire. Turn out that the cause was because of the gas leak. Shinichi knew it was the gas because he smells them before waking up his sister when it happened. Only 3 people out of the 149 people in that hotel survived. The workers who had night shift didn’t survive either.

Shinichi cried and cried as the policeman- the superintendent himself- tell him everything. How the fires first started, what happens to the safety alerts, how are a miracle that Shinichi is alive after all this.

After the police left, Shinichi was in a daze for a full three day.

That’s three days ago.

And now, Shinichi just can’t seem to find the reason to breathe anymore. Even his little sickly sister is gone. What is there left?

In his grief, Shinichi had forgotten that there is still someone waiting for him.

He’s only in his first year of high school, yet here he is, in the hospital special rehab department, trying to get his strength back. But he doesn’t want his strength back!

He wants his sister, his mother, and his father back instead!

That night, Shinichi tried to kill himself. Tried is the key word here.

However, Shinichi saw- found- something that shocks him.

The wounds that Shinichi infect on himself was slowly healing. And his reflection on the knife wasn’t who he was anymore.

His eyes were different color. His hair was also different.

His hair is no longer dark green but White.

Chapter Two: Destiny Ignition Exceed- what? Huh?!

Disclaimer: The following pictures in this chapter doesn’t belong to me. I got it from google search…

Shinichi was in his room packing and organizing his stuff for his new room. The room is pretty much western style. Just like the outside.

In his room, there’s a large, queen size, bed with overhanging in princess style in the middle, which he will be removing it soon enough. There’s three large bookshelves by the wall the to left and two closet that is big enough to fit a king size bed inside with plenty of room to spare.

[Ah, this room… is not to my liking. I wonder if I can rearrange the room?]

Knock Knock

“Come in!”

The door opened and Ryousuke step in with a straw bucket on his hand,

“Aikawa-kun, here for you,” Ryousuke say while handing him the straw bucket to him. In there was shampoo, a soap, toothbrush and the likes.

“Thank you.”

“So, do you like your room? You’re free to arrange them any way you like. This is your room for the next 5 years.”  Ryousuke grin as he leads on the door frame.

“The room is pretty big and everything is in good condition here but I don’t like  how this room is arrange so I will be moving some of them. Especially the bed,” I replied with a small frown on my face.

“Do you need  help moving them?” Asked Ryousuke.

“Yes please. I am still in rehabs for another month so I can’t use too much strength. Director Kim says so.” I explained to Ryousuke with a thankful smile on my face.

“Okay, if Aniki says so. So where do you want to move the bed?” Ryousuke asked as he moved toward the bed and started to stretches his arms in preparation.

“Hm, I would like to moved the bed to there please,,” I said pointing to the far corner of the right.

“You want it all the way toward the wall?” Asked Ryousuke, a little surprised.

“Ye,” I replied as the take down the see through the curtain and stacks them neatly.

The next hour was spends moving the bed, the bookshelves and rearrange the desk. It was near lunch time when Shinichi and Ryousuke finished arranging the stuffs in the room to Shinichi’s taste. The bed was move to the corner of the room with the desk by it. On the desk, there’s a small lighting for night studying and three textbook, which are the subjects that Shinichi will be teaching the kids. And then there’s four pictures placed next to it. The first and largest one was of himself and Yuki when he toke her to the park back when they were only 9 years old. She was smiling like it was the happiest time of her life, which it was, and Shinichi was in front of her because she was hugging him from his back.

He remembers that she threatened to tickle him if he won’t let her hug him from behind for the picture.

Then the next one besides this one was when Yuki made him cross-dress just for the sake of taking a picture. It was in black and white, yet it was really lovely and scary at the same time. Ryoma, Seichirou, and Hanato have a copy of this one because Yuki was using it to blackmail him.

[The above Image does not belong to me~!]

And no, his the one with the long hair. Yuki threatened to sends copies of that pictures to the media if he won’t dress as a girl for their middle school festival. He has no choices. He never has a choice when it comes to Yuki.

The next picture was of the whole family member together in front of his grandpa’s lawn. His father, who was going to go to Chicago for his job transfer and his mother was in a apron holding a ladder for show. His grandma and grandpa, from his father’s side, was seating sides by sides while all the while Yuki was playing with Shinichi’s dark green hair while smirking in happiness as Shinichi himself have a defeated looks on his face. In the picture, there was a roll of gardenia on the left side while on the right sides was a sakura tree. That time the sakura was just in full bloom and it was one of the rare day that Yuki’s body were strong so they were having a picnic.

The third pictures was of his three childhood friends and him. From the top was Seichirou and his twin Hanato, whom both have navy blue hairs. On the lower button of the pictures was Shinichi himself with Ryoma to his left. It was during the school festival so Seichirou was in his full cosplay mood since his class was a butler class. Yep, he was dressing as Sebastian from Black Butler and Hanato was dressing as what-was-her-named? That maid that has her eyes poked out because of her master, a brat who’s a maniac.  Ahh right it was Hannah. Right. Hanato was dressing as Hannah because there wasn’t enough girl. Ryoma and his class where dressing as samurai except that Shinichi was in a full girl dress. Like I say, there wasn’t enough girl.

Ryoma was dressing as Yukimura Sanada and damn does he look exactly like Yukimura Sanada from that anime… what was it again? Something like the Samura Warrior 4 or 5(?) was it? The game that is. It was a really old game but a lot of people still plays it after it was reinvented into a  virtual game. The one that used a red hair tight on his forehead. Ryoma was in that character. He event have a real sword with him.  A Real Sword. Of course, after all, Ryoma is a Sanada.

Direct descendants of that Sanada Yukimura and his brother, Nobuyuki Sanada. That’s right. Ryoma is a hachidan, a Kendo god in term of strength, and a Black belt in Karate. Same as Shinichi himself does. Although Shinichi learned way too many different types of combat styles that he could barely remember which is which.

What about him?

Shinichi was a princess. Or supposed to be anyway.

In Shinichi’s case, just remembering the memories was enough to send chills down his spine.

It was a disaster. To the point that Yuki was pulled in too.

Oh my god, just the memories itself was enough for chills upon chills to rack up Shinichi’s body and mind. Noted all the shivers and shudders…

Girls are scary when it come to fashion! He could still remember the thoughts at that time.

The girls in his class, which was only seven out of 28 of them, wanted Shinichi to dress as a princess in Kimono, all in white while the boy fight for more sexy looks. And then it was chaos. They shout and yells and throw things at each other for three whole classes. Like books, pencils, erasers, and anything else that they, the girls found. The teacher can’t even do anything because they too were looking forward to whatever Shinichi will be wearing. At the end, they all agree that whatever Kimono Shinichi wore, it will be sexy. [Shivered]

Actually, they wanted to dress him as a princess but… It turned into something completely different. They event fixed his hairs too. Not that it takes too long because Shinichi’s hair has always been really long, all the way down to his rear. At the end, it turns to look something more like a geisha rather than a princess because of how the dress on him.

They made him tested wear and even wanted to take pictures, that is until Ryoma came in wearing Yukimura Sanada’s custom and drawn his own sword to threatened them that if they even let one picture of Shinichi in custom lose, heads will roll, with a look that clearly label : This dog doesn’t bark, he will bit your ass to kingdom come. It was a long week time worth of arguing back and forth of which princess custom look the best on Shinichi. To the point that all the male in class have nosebleed to the point that they got anemia. Those idiots.

At the end of the deadline, the last day to try on the custom because tomorrow is the official open day for the festival. The principal and all the teacher extend the funds for the customers and get him a new one instead. It was one that made everyone wide eyes and either fainted with nosebleed or faint from overexcite. [Shivers]

They’d dye his hair and style it without cutting it and placing a flowers on. They went as far as to make him wear girl’s saddle. At the end, Shinichi tease them by wearing Ryoma’s glasses and the results was countless bodies fainted on the floors. Even teachers. All the while, Ryoma look like his was itching to actually  kills everyone. Why though, Shinichi just can’t understand.

okay… that’s enough. Let’s just say that after the festival, Shinichi has to avoid all the girls and half of the school’s boy for a couple of months. And nearly get kidnapped more than 5 times from what he remembered.

“Wow, this looks great now,” Ryousuke exclaimed with a wild grin on his face. They really are brothers, their smiles look almost exactly alike.

“Yep. Oh it’s almost time for lunch.”

“Want me to show you around after lunch?” Asked Ryousuke.

“Really? Thank you for the offer then I will gladly accept.” there’s no way I won’t accept. I don’t want to get lost. Yesterday, after confirming all the documents in the principal’s office and choosing which class he needs to take, it was near dinner time and Shinichi was so tired that he fell asleep the minute that his head hit the bed so he hasn’t been shown around the school yet.

After that, Ryousuke spends nearly 3 hours with Shinichi showing him around the dorms, from where he stay, which was right next to the middle school dorms, to where the teacher’s office are located at. From the elementary school, which was a sight that Shinichi didn’t think he could forget anytime soon, to the high school.

They were at their last location; The Common Room.

“This is the Common Building. This is the building that almost everyone come in after class. There’s a Game Center, a Cafeteria and or cafe, a bookstore, a club, yes a club,  and computers available for every to use if you have an account set up.” Ryousuke explain.

“Usually, it will be jam pack with all kinds of people from all ages but since school is still in section, there’s no one here. Let me introduce you to the staff here.” I can’t do anything but collect every little detail of the rooms into my mind as I followed Ryousuke-san.

“Master~! Are you here?” Ryousuke shout a bit loud for the master since the counter there’s no one on the counter that Ryousuke lead us to, it was clearly a bar of some kind. Except there’s no alcohol in sight.

“Hmm? Kim-kun, what are you doing here? You are skipping class again?” asked a man that come from the back of the small door that I bet lead to the back kitchen. Wow, he moved without making any sounds. Is he…?

“No no, I am showing a transfer student around the school since the principal assigns me to. Oi! Is not like I’m always skipping class!” Ryousuke pout at the master.

The master was a man in his 40s, from what I could tell. He has a small cut on his cheeks and has his hairs tight in a ponytail. His looks kind of fragile but Shinichi knew that the master isn’t fragile at all with the way that he moved around. It was soundless.

“Ura? A transfer student at this time of the year?” the master asked with a confused voiced as he tilted his head to one side while his brows kneel together.

“Yeah. Oh what am I doing? Come over here, Aikawa-kun. Let me introduce you. Aikawa-kun, this is Sato Misaki, the master of this non-alcoholic bar and the DJ for the club behind that door.” Ryousuke pointed toward the door that the master came thru just a couple of seconds ago. “Master, this is Aikawa Shinichi, the new tutor for the 5th and 6th grades. He’s a freshman this year too.” he finished.

“Hajimemashite, I am Aikawa Shinichi, I still don’t know what class I in. It’s nice to meet you.” I bow.

“Nice to meet you, Sato Misaki, just call me Master since I like it better.” he winked. hahaha… sweatdrops…

“Hai,” I answered seconds later.

“My, you are pretty unusual huh…” He said after looking at me up and down, causing sweats to form in my mind.

“I’m sorry?”  How am I unusual? Is it because of my different color eyes or is it my white hair?

“You’re the second’s girl that have white hair at this school since it was really rare for Japanese to have white hair. Is one of your parents foreign?” Asked the master with a curiosity gleam in his eyes.

A girl? I blinked.

I blinked again.

“M-master! Aikawa is a boy!” Ryousuke panic as he shouted at the master. I blushed. Like seriously? where’s a hole when you needs it? This is so embarrassing, to be mistaken as a girl because of my hair.

“Ehh?!” the master was gaping in shock.

“Yes, I am a BOY. Please don’t mistakes me for a girl just because I have long hair. And no, my hair wasn’t originally white. See? My eyebrows isn’t white.” I said pointing toward my eye browns. Is true, when I woke up that day and found that my hairs turned white already but my brows isn’t, I don’t know if I should laugh out loud at my looks or just faint in shock.

“Oh. Sorry about that then. Man, this brings back memories.” The master said with a small nostalgia smile on his face as if he was recalling some important… or not memories.

“Arggg, back then my body was really fragile and I have longer hair due to the custom that if I was dressed as a girl then my body will turned strong. What a load of bullshit. Because of that I was mistaken as a girl far too many times so I know how you feel.” The master explained.

“Well good thing your body isn’t fragile anymore than,” I replied, of course, the master’s body doesn’t look strong but I can tell that his really strong just by the way that he moves around soundlessly like that.

“…” The master look kinds of alarmed at my saying. Why? Did I say something wrong?

“Master?” What? Did I offend him somehow?

“Ah, no is nothing. Oh that’s right. Here, take this. That is the schedule and menu for the cafe and the Club. There is alcohol but only for the 5 years since they’re 21 turning 22 years old so don’t even think about it. Remember those on the menu because you won’t be seeing any if you come to the cafe.” the master says as he handed me a menu that have three section. The first section was the appetite and deserts likes shortcakes and things like that, is the section that girls like the most.

But I hate sweet so I didn’t even bother looking at it.  I skip right through the desert section and look over the other ones instead. Oh? There are a couple of Korean dishes here too. Humm? What’s this? A Thai dish? Oh? Tom Yam Boran? What’s that? Hmm…

Maybe I should do some research for the cooking class. Is not like there’s only Japanese in this school. From what Kim-sensei told me, there’s a variety of races from all over Asian in this school to the point that exchange student have their own dorms about the size of a hotel.

“Ah! That’s right. I forget to tell you this. Aikawa-kun, this school require that every student staying at the dorms MUST have a D.I.E. account, you have one right?” said Ryosuke as he waits for me to finished reading the menu.

A what account?

“I don’t. What is this D.I.E. that you talking about?” I asked a little bewilder. Is not what I think it is right?

The whole room was silence for a minute.

“Destiny Ignition Exceed account.” The master finally said after a couple of silences moment.

“Destiny Ignition Exceed? What is that?” What? hat is this destiny-thingy that they’re talking about?

“I forget that you were in the hospital just a week ago. Sorry, my short sight. Destiny Ignition Exceed or D.I.E is the new breakthrough virtual reality games that Destination of Gaming, the company that creates and develop Magic and Swords online, created and announced 5 months ago. If you ever play a VRMMORPG game before then you should know what I’m talking about.” Ryousuke explained politely with a small smile.

“I never played any virtual game before.”  Is true, I was too busy keeping up with those Martial Arts classes that my parents signed me up for. Karate, Kendo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Shuri-te karate, Chinese martial arts like Xing Yi Quan, Taoism, traditional ones like Bājíquán (八極拳) – Eight extreme fists and Longquan (龙拳) – Dragon Fist. And the last one was Tàijíquán (太極拳; T’ai chi ch’uan; Tai Chi) – Supreme Ultimate fist. Studying a lot of martial arts mean that I won’t have a specialist but I don’t mind much. It’s not like I am a beginner with those. So, yes, I have a lot of masters. I have 24 Masters, including the assistants too.

Since the Chinese martial arts that are traditional were the ones that my father practice before, he called his master and I was, surprisingly, accepted without any trouble. The other ones were the one that I was taking it with Seiichirou and Ryoma. Hanato doesn’t like violence so he don’t want to be near anything that teaches violence. So to make sure that I don’t leave out Yuki and Hanato, I learn cooking from my grandma. Yuki and mom are a no-no-no in the kitchen. Unless you wanna die of food poisoning that is. Since Hanato and I we book like to cook, but I hate sweets, we have a great time.

…..

“What?!” Asked both Ryousuke and the master at the same time. Oh my god, what era is this boy living in? They both though that the same time.

“What?” what’s their problem? I could feel the blood rush to my face but no way am I going to blush… maybe…

Well sorry for not playing any VR games!

“Oh my god, I don’t think there’s anyone left in Japan that hasn’t at the really least play a VR game before… Okay, first of all, we needs to sign you up your account before you start next week. Secondly, here use this. This is the demo pass for DIE new player. Watch this and learns anything that you can before Monday. You have three days. Kim-kun, take Aikawa to the Game Center and sign him up.” The master instructed.

“Okay. Let’s go Aikawa-kun.” Ryousuke looks a little shock but it seems like his body get over it faster than his mind.

The next 30 or so minutes was spend creating a really complex, from Ryousuke point of view since his never took this long,  account for Shinichi. There was ten security question and 5 different code were being made. What Shinichi didn’t know was that his the only one who have to create more than three security codes due to the answers of his security questions and answers.

“After this, we’ll have to scan your body information through the Nerve Implements Scanner so that it will be inputted into your account. Since you’re a tutor here, on Monday, the principal should send you a set of suits for the game. It’s a nerve suit that allow your whole body and minds to feel and senses like you are in the game yourself.” Ryousuke said as he leads me toward the pod of… a bed?

“Get inside and take off all your clothes before pushing the Start button. Is a big green button so you can’t mix it.” Ryousuke instructed with a blushed on his face. Why the hell is he blushing?

“Okay.” Since I don’t know anything about those virtual gaming thingies I could just follow his directions for now.

As I steps into the pod, inside was a small table and a lot of what I think is sensing camera. Then I starts taking my clothes off, even my underwear- Yes- Everything, before putting it on the small plastic table. After that I start to look for the start button that Ryousuke was talking about. It was near the toward the door and I push it after reading the label: START in English.

deep deep deep [Please stand by, the scans will depends on your real human body. Please stand still and don’t move please. I repeat, Please stand still and don’t move please.] A man voice came from the pod as I stood in the middle of the pod and closed my eyes.

I could feel the air around me change as something like a laser light starts to scan but body from the bottom of my feet toward my head. Then all over again. And again. And again. And again. And again… needs I to repeats?

What the hell?! Why is this scanning taking so long? Ryousuke though as he wait for the scanning to finished. It has already been 15 minutes and the scanning isn’t even over yet. When it was his first time, it only take 3 minutes or so, why the hell does it take this long for Aikawa to scan his body? Is it because he never play any VR game before that it took so long? Ahh that must be it. Since the scanning didn’t just scan your body and nerve, it scans the blood veins and everything in your full body all the way to your bones. It also scan a part of your brain too so it doesn’t surprised Ryousuke that it might take this long that much but… Seriously?

Another 10 minutes passed by and Ryousuke is starting to think that the machine might be broken or malfunction.

After another 30 minutes, Ryousuke was starting to fall asleep.

Ryousuke woke up from his half-asleep state when the light shines from the door of the pod and a really …pissed off… Aikawa steps out.

What? What happen?

“Ne, Ryousuke-kun…” Shinichi asked in a voice that sends chills down Ryousuke’s body.

“Y-yeah? What’s wrong?” what else could I asked?! I didn’t do anything!

“Go find a technician and have them fixed that bloody machine. IT FREAKING DAMN MISTAKES ME FOR A GIRL. TWICE!” I said with a blood chilly voice. How dare that piece of shit argued with me that I am a girl when it clearly scans my private parts into consideration! Even Ryoma knew that I was a boy when we first met! How Dare That Fucking Damn Machine!

“What?! Are you seriously? There was never a mistake like that before. The machine read and implements everything in your body into consideration. From your brain waves to every inch of muscles in your body are taking into consideration.  After all, in DIE,  your status points are base on your first time into the game. That’s why the machine scans every little muscle in your body. To think that it would mistakes you for a girl and twice at that. I don’t like what I should say to that anymore.” Ryousuke slump into a chair.

“Ahhh… Forget it. This is getting me a headache. Freaking damn machine.” I scratch my head in thought. “Although, if I’m not in rehabs, I might destroy the damn machine already,” I whispered quietly so Ryousuke couldn’t hear me.

“Huh? Did you say something?” Asked Ryousuke.

“No, is nothing.”

“Anyway,  next, you needs research. Go to **** and watch the let’s play or game-play there on Virtual Reality games. There should be a lot of games. Especially if you research about MMO games genres. There’s millions of gameplay. If you wanted to play DIE then just research on MMO games. VRMMO games to be more specific. Like Magic and Swords Infinity Online gameplay or let’s play.” Ryousuke said as he stood up from his chair and lead Shinichi towards the PC room, which is located on the seconds floor where the bookstore are located at.

“Then Aikawa-kun. let’s make a library card for you. Both the Library card and your online account are the same so if you just get a Library card then you can access everything in the library online and buy books from the bookstore online too. There’s digital version and paperback or hardcover version available. This way. the door is over here.” Ryousuke said as they opened a glass door.

Inside was hundreds of computer in rolls from all the way from the windows toward the back of the wall. It was line up neatly in a form of rectangular shape.

There was a counter with three younger girls working on the screen of computer in front of them. Ryousuke walked toward them quietly and-

“Yo!” he started them, making all of them jumps in fright.

‘K-Kim-kun!” the girl on the left said shrieked in fright.

“Onii-chan!” hissed the girl in the middle while the girl to the right sighed out loud in complained.

Onii-san? Really? This is probably the step sister that Kim-sensei told me about then.

“Nana, get a Library card for new students ready,”  Ryousuke said as he grins wildly at his sister.

“Sure. But if you do that again, onii-san, you will ….” She cracked her knuckle as she says that with a menace expression on her face. Ryousuke’s face pale for a second before he nodded. It seems like he didn’t want to meet her fist that soon.

“Right. Had you have your body scans downstairs?” Asked Nana.

“Yes,” I answered back as I nodded.

“The machine should give you a code on a piece of black paper. Do you have it?” Asked Nana as she opened the software for the new Library card, which directly connected to the Core for DIE server.

Oh, that black paper? I thought it was a curse paper but nevertheless, yes I still have it.

“Yes, right here,” I said as I handed her the paper with long 27 numbers and letters codes that have five bar code underneath it. Nana stopped typing as she looks at the paper and then at Shinichi then at the paper again.

“Your name and birthday please?” She asked a little bit shock at what she see.

“Huh? Aikawa Shinichi. Birthday is October 15, XXXX.”  I answered.

“Got it. Please wait a minute,” said Nana as she scans all five codes into the computer before activating the codes in the programs.

A minute or so later, a small decoding machine beep in the background and a small card, like a credit card but only smaller, came out. It was Bright dark red and white design with a blue flowers carved on it.

Nana picks up the card and handed to Shinichi with a frown on her face.

“Here’s your Library card, Aikawa-kun.” Nana handed Shinichi his card.

Why the hell is this card have a flower design on it. Don’t tell me that the librarian though I am a girl? Is that why she design this way too womanly design card.

“Ano, just to clarify. I’m a man, okay?” Better get this over with. I’m too tired with being mistaken as a girl.

“Eh?” Nana’s eyes were so wide that Ryousuke nearly laugh out loud if not for the glares sends his way by Nana herself.

“Yes, I am a boy.” I don’t know whether or not this is funny anymore. Wait. It wasn’t even funny in the first place!

“Ah. I’m sorry. It is because of the design on the card that made you asked that question? If it is then I’m afraid to inform you that the design on the card are base on your codes from the scans so I can’t do anything about it.” Informed Nana with a expression of apologizing and a blush on her face. She wasn’t the only one. The other two librarian were both blushing in shame from their mistakes too.

What? It’s not their fault! Is not like the subject of their mistake have a look that clearly say is a pretty-boy. Is more like beauty-girl to them, who are the girls. To think that there’s someone, who’s a male at that, who have bigger eyes then them, fairer skins, taller, slender than them, have longer hair than them… needs I go on?

All in all, Aikawa look even more beautiful and prettier than any girls that they know. Which isn’t a lot. Comparing all other girls to Shinichi and you’re know why everyone, including all his boy classmates and his own sister, would make him cross-dress. Even his father can’t say anything about it. Actually, his father can’t say anything about it since Aikawa Shinichi himself look like their mother and their father combine. In another word, their genes are too good.

It was that stupid machine’s fault?! A vein pops up in my head. That damn machine must be a freaking damn pervert. To mistakes my gender for a female not once but twice at that! Damn him, the machine must be conspiring against me since the damn machine for some reason, wanted me to be a freaking damn girl.

“Ah, forget it.” I signed out loud. No use crying over spills milk.

“Sorry.” They all blushes while saying so, the librarians that is. Shinichi sighed out loud. Maa, is not like is their fault so there’s no use having grudge against them.

“Is fine. Clearly, is wasn’t your fault. Thank you for the card.” I bow a bit as thanks for their help.

“Eei, it is nothing much.” Nana blushes.

“Hehehe, well that’s that Aikawa-kun. Let’s get going. I still have to go to the club so I will be going now. Ah, that’s right. Why don’t you research on VRMMO in here? This is the library after all.” Ryousuke advised wisely.

“Hmm. That’s a good idea. Can I use the computer now?” I asked the librarian.

“Yes, just sign in using the password that you made during the Signup process for your DIE account and your student ID codes is your username. This is the free wi-fi area so if you have your own laptop or virtual desktop, you can bring it here to connect to the internet. After that, if you want to print anything, you will need to connect to the printer via Bluetooth and it cost 5 yen each page, ” Said the librarian to the right of Nana.

“Thank you. Well, then. I’ll see you later, Ryousuke.” After saying thanks to the librarian, I turn toward Ryousuke and bit farewell with him for the time being since he’s already half-way toward the entrance.

“Okay, See you during dinner. You remember where the kitchen’s at right?”  I nodded to that question. “Then I’ll see you at dinner,” Ryousuke said that as he waves from the door entrance.

“Later.” I wave as he closed the door. Since the class is still in section, there’s no one here in the library beside the librarian and Shinichi. Shinichi quickly makes his way to one of the computer.

Since technology is high, all the computers that they are using now are really high tech, especially for the schools all over the global. To be more specific, Japan and Korean have the highest technology next to United Kingdom and New York of United States of America, which used to have only 50 states but now have 100 states due to sea level and new islands and lands keep popping up due to volcano eruptions.

After login, Shinichi went straight into surfing the net on VRMMO games articles. Then he went to ******* and start watching the gameplay on Magic and Swords Infinity Online. There were hundreds of millions, no billions, of videos. Arg… which one should I watch?! There’s too many!

Ah! Let’s just watch the first episode. Okay!

As Shinichi type in “Magic and Swords Gameplay, Episode  1” into the search bar, only about a couple millions of videos came to view. Shinichi sighed out loud in relief as he clicks the top one on the list. It was by a user named CrystalFreedom.  Shinichi waited for the video to finished bluffing before he clicks play.

The theme song for a famous anime from long ago, probably from the 20th century or so. As the song finished, a warning came into view: The following programs is for 16+ only. Please watch at your own expense. It says.

[Hello and welcome to CrystalFreedom in Magic and Swords let’s play and or Gameplay. For those of you that don’t know what Magic and Swords is, Magic and Swords is a game develop by IgameNation and SkyFar, the developer behind the Nerve Implements Readers. Now, what is M&S? M&S is a VRMMORPG games that have both magics and martial arts involve. It has everything that any other games has. There are 7 classes and 14 subclass. If you wanted to know more, check the official website. I’m too lazy to give out all the goodies in this game.]

And so, Shinichi spends the rest of his times watching the gameplays. It was really like watching movies and whenever that Crystal person kills a mob, Shinichi could feel his skins crawled in shudders. From the first animal that she killed, which was a really weird looking pig-like creature, what was they’re called? A Haul? It look like a pig but have two large horns on its head and have one really long and sharptails that swing like a sword. She have to kills about 25 of those for experiences. As she records, she also inform the watcher of the smells, the senses of touching the -what was it that she called it? Mob? The senses of how heavy the swords that she is using since his a mage, not a swordsman. And the likes.

For a game that have 90% Realism, the bloods and everything else is really realism too. Since M&S re-spawn time depends on the level of the mob. For example, if a chicken in game is a level 1 then it will take 1 minute for the chicken to re-spawn. If a slime is level 2 the it takes 2 minutes and so on. However, there’s a limited, like for boss monster level and mini-boss level. There’s always a respawn time of 7 days in Real Life Cooldown for boss level monster. And the maximum time is 3 days in real life no matter how high a monster is for non-boss monsters that are high levels.

There’s something call Skill and Professions. Skills are the spells and abilities your character utilizes while in combat, assisting others in combat, or providing benefits and other useful temporary powers to you or others outside of combat.

Most skills are used to damage a target while in combat, and depending on the class you have chosen will either be short- to medium-range melee abilities or medium- to long-range ranged abilities.

Other skills will apply debuffs to your target(Negative Buffs). These types of skills will lower the target’s performance in combat and movement speed, or in some cases apply to damage or another effect over a short period (damage over time or DoT).

There are other skills, similar to buffs or de-buffs, that you can place on friendly targets and players. Depending on the skill used, you can improve the target’s combat abilities and movement as well as apply healing over time (HoT) effects.

Lastly, there are skills that can heal friendly targets directly and can be very useful in groups. However, these types of skills are limited to Priest classes normally. As with other skills, once a target has been selected you simply make sure you’re within range and either click on the skill or use the hotkey you have it bound to.

All those skills are really hard to level up because it takes times to collects experiences point for them. Each skill needs a lot of numbers of experience and a lot of grinding so they’re hard to come by.

Magic and Swords’s profession are a lot easier but due to how magic is involved, it a lot harder to levels. For example, cooking, with all ingredients and equipment, the cooks but have a lot of mana to cook foods that will repulsive mana and health or other things like temporary increase of magic accuracy, or physical attack power or max MP/Hp or… well you know what I’m talking about, for a period of time.

Magic and Swords was a game that has more than 90% of all Asian plays. Even the elders. No. Especially the elders.

And now, after Destiny Ignition Exceed came out with a realism of 99%, the pains tolerance level at 90% maximum, every senses were outstretch to the point that you could say that they were even more real than in real life. It would cost a lot of people to neglects real life and play the game. So to counter that, the game set a limit of games hours in real life. You can only play it for 10 hours maximum a day in real life. But then again, the sense of time in real life and in games are different.

One hour in real life is 5 hours in games. That’s right. DIE time is 5 times slower than real life. Which mean that if you play for 10 hours in real life, it mean that is actually 50 hours in games. Extending times also causes a new type of problems too. So to counter that, they have the Satiety System which measures hunger and thrust in the game. Asides from that, they also measure the sleep and awaken sensation too.

They had also implemented a mood component that measures the heart beat and anxiety levels. There’s a lot more to this game than any other games that have ever been developed before. Even the NCP are so real in game. They have their own story and history to tell. If a player-adventurers- look down on the NCP because of thinking that they’re just NCP, that player won’t get any high rank quests. They would only get quest like collecting furs, picking apples, finding lost item, etc. Those are all beginner rank quest, the F rank quest. Those quest give out experiences very minimumly and the rewards are also very small too.

This was one of the reason why M&M’s world is so loved. The NCP are the human in that world. The players are only the adventurers- they’re outsider.

So you have played the game it knows what it is like.

According to an article that did some interviews with a couple of people who have been playing  for three months since the game was release, the first persons says that anything in this game is possible from what the game developers had says. As long as you know how to, for example, the person himself is a doctor in real life and in game, his a Healer, which is different from a priest/cleric and or a chanter, who used spells to heal people.

He was a secret class. A healer who doesn’t use mana when he cast healing powers because he mostly uses herbs and plants instead.

The second interviewer was a woman who teaches children how to dance and she herself is a dancer in the game. Her dance can hypnotist anything excepts non-living things like actual woods or plants that aren’t monster.

The third and last person was just an ordinary boy in high school who was a warrior in the games. He said that because his body was already weak when his start playing, his online status such as his his STR(Strength), CONS(construction), DEF(Defense), DEX(Dexterity), INT(Intelligent), Charm(Charisma), WIS(Wisdom), WI(Willpower), and Luck(Chances) were exceptional low but his Willpower and his Luck were abnormally high. So he spends twice the amount of times in the training center just to train his STR, CONS, and DEX.

When he says twice, he really mean twice. New players are restrict into the beginner town or city that they choose for one month real times. That meant that the player is restricted to a 5 months in game. They can’t moved out of the safe field which only held the mobs that doesn’t give out experience when kill. Like small farmed chicken, sheep, pigs, and cows. Those animal can be harvest like real life for meats and other things but because the realism level is so high that no one wanted to touch it let alone kills it and skins it.

They would rather find jobs in the towns and work there for experiences and money before their times is up is what Shinichi concluded after reading that article and another two or three articles about the beginning of the games.

By the time that Shinichi finished reading and watching 20 or episode of various of gameplay for virtual reality game, dinner was ready to be serve so he stopped and log out.

[After dinner, I will research some recipes for the cooking class and then meditate for another hours before turning in.] Shinichi concluded his plan.

Shinichi didn’t forget that he still have to go through his rehabs. He have another month left of rehabs to goes thru before he can do anything that require him to use as much strength as breaking just one tiles of brick. And he used to be able to break 50 of them without breaking a sweats…. Ahh~ Shinichi signed out loud.

How weak he has gotten. Really… If Yuki see him like this, there’s no telling how many dresses she’s going to make him wear and how many pictures she would had taken. Shinichi shuddered as he walked toward the cafeteria. But before he got there, he heard Ryousuke called him from the other hall.

“Aikawa-kun! ” A loud, really LOUD,  voice that sounds way too like his older brother called Shinichi, causing him to nearly misstep.

“Ryousuke-kun,” I greeted. Ryousuke’s hair was wet and glittering from the lights as he ran toward Shinichi with some energy that Shinichi will never know where it comes from.

He must have to take a shower before he comes. After, he did say that he have club activities to attend. He must be sweating that why he needs to take a shower before dinner. Hmm… What could he be doing? Maa, is not like it’s any of Shinichi’s business.

“So, how was it? How was watching VR online?” asked Ryousuke with a big grin on his face.

“…” How shall I answered him? There a millions of things that Shinichi had just learned from watching the gameplay. Yet, Shinichi keep having the feeling that the person who was playing is a amateur in fight as a warrior because just by watching it, Shinichi saw more than a lot of weakness in her defense.  And the way that she act is really fake. Is like watching a movie that the player herself wrote about her.

“A movie” I answered in the end because honestly, watching the gameplay doesn’t seem like watching a gameplay but a movie instead.

“Hehehe, right? what do you think of the monster in the game, though?” He asked as the walked inside the cafeteria.

“Weird,” I answered.

Ryousuke stop. “Weird? How so?” The confusion inside Ryousuke’s mind started to turn into alertly puzzled.

“The Monsters in there look really real but the players are far too weak to look for their weak point, and keep hitting places that are harder to hit. And the bloods are really creepy too. I only watch to episode 5 of the gameplay but I really don’t like how fake the player make it look. Is like, acting you know?” I answered back as Ryousuke walked ahead toward the line for a meal ticket.

The meal ticket come from the machine that label: Cafeteria Menu. There is five machine total. The first one was white and it has the word, Japanese Food on it while the other are varies in colors with labels that says things like Chinese Menu, Korean Menu, Southern Asian Menu, and there was one that says Special Menu.

The one that Ryousuke lead me to was the Japanese one. It has 15 sets of difference kinds of food to make a full lunch or dinner combo. For example, the dish always includes rice to go with two side dishes such as tamagoyaki, miso soup(variety) and an appetizer such as two sushi or kushiyaki. There’s a lot of varieties of dishes combo. The ones that Shinichi like the most are curry rice and Nori bento. But today, after watching that gameplay, he feels like eating something else.

“Ahh” Ryousuke makes a sounds at the back of his throat as he presses the number three combo and slides his card, which I believe is his student ID card. The same like the one that I just got this morning.

I choose a ramen menu in the button instead since is the cheapest. The chopped pork and chicken ramen.

“Aunties, here’s my ticket. This is a new student that will be starting this Monday.” Ryousuke introduces me to the cafeteria staff.

“Hajimemashite. Boku wa oname wa Aikawa Shinichi desu. Dozo Yoroshiku.” I introduce myself in full Japanese. Politely too.

“Oh my, what a polite lady.” a woman around her 40s says with a smile on her face.

… lady?! I blinked. I could hear Ryousuke’s struggle to not laugh instead, he nearly choked in his own splits.

“I am a male, ma’am” I grind my teeth as I force a small smile.

… The sounds of pans and plates hit the floor were heard from the inner kitchen and around Shinichi and Ryousuke.

“E-ehhh?!!!” all the woman in the kitchen stopped and stared at Shinichi, causing all the other students who were staring at Shinichi even since he came inside the room to widen their eyes in shocks and gasps in astonishment.

“Is there something wrong?” I asked, a little too cold for my taste. Causing the surrounding people to shivers in cold.

“A-ahh. No, is nothing.” All the surrounding people sweats drop at the scene in front of them before trying to conceal their peeking at Shinichi. Most of the boys were feeling depressed that Shinichi isn’t a girl and was half crying as the eat their dinner with a forlorn expression on their faces. Yet, some of the man eyes were shining like they’re looking at their favorites model.

Not like they can help it. Shinichi is way more feminine than any model woman that they knew of so there was no way that they could have avoid taking peeks at him. Eyelashes longer than a girl, face more fairer than a girl, taller than a  girl, body slenderer than a girl- even if he doesn’t have that items that every girls have. And eyes that seems to by crystal instead of human eyes. Especially when his eyes are different in colors. Eei-not different colors but different shades. The right sides is golden with a tint of green while the other are golden with a tint of orange.

Is like looking at a picture of an angel… no, not an angel. Is like something not of this world yet straightly, is like looking at the kindest goddess. It was making a couple of the male in the area nosebleeds and heart thumbs in a way that should be illegal.

“Here’s my ticket. Please make it a little bit spicier than normal.” I signed mentally as I handed the woman nearest to me my meal ticket.

“Ahh my, what bad manner I have. Sorry about that. As an apology, I let your first meal here for free. Use that ticket for Monday’s dinner instead. hohohohoh~.” The elderly woman laughed with a hand on her mouth.

“Really? Thank you~!” Yes! Free food. There’s nothing that tastes better than free food. Especially if the one who made it were by motherly love. Since Shinichi and Yuki rarely get to eat food that has motherly love in it, Shinichi had always tried his best to cook like his grandma since his own mother is- was- a disaster in the kitchen.

The smiles that were on Shinichi’s face made everyone in the velocities drops their fork, spoons or chopsticks with their mouth opens.

After that, Shinichi and Ryousuke took their seat while waiting for their food to be ready. While waiting for their food to be ready, Shinichi keeps feeling like someone is staring at him but once he looks around, there was no one.

Hm, must be my imagination.

“Ryou-chan! Yours and Aikawa-kun’s food are ready~!” yelled the lady whom Shinichi suspect was the main chief in the inner kitchen. As Ryousuke stood up to get the food, the door opened with a bang that resounds throughout the whole cafeteria with an echo that stopped everyone and drawn their attention.

At the door stood a person that took away my breath in surprised. That person has two other people behind him and they were all panting. At first glance, you can tell that those three teenage boys ran here.

“Seiichirou. Ryoma. Hanato,” I whispered to myself. I didn’t think that I will be seeing them this early. Ehh??? Wait. Can they even recognized me when I look nothing like the old me?

My hair is no longer dark green. I longer have my original eyes colors. My body has changed into something not human anymore. Would they even recognize me looking like this?

Sweats start to gather on Shinichi’s forehead as each second passed by. Seichirou, who was the first one to opened the door started to look around the cafeteria for someone. Shinichi hopes that it wasn’t him.

He isn’t ready to face his childhood friends yet. Not the way he is now. However, Shinichi always has bad luck and it has been proven a lot of times already. And now, it once again proved itself that Shinichi’s luck is really bad as his eyes and Seiichirou’s locked together in a haze of staring. Seiichirou wasn’t the only one that was looking at Shinichi.

Sweats pour itself into Shinichi’s hands as he hopes that Seichirou won’t be able to recognize him.

Too bad.

“Shin-chan?” As a really clear voice that sends warm into Shinichi really being. It has been far too long since he last heard the voice of his childhood friends. Shinichi froze in shock as two more eyes focus on him.

“Shinichi!” A soft yet strong voice that sounds like it was going to cry called out and the next thing everyone else knew, a teen with dark blue hair fly at the white headed and they were on the floor with a crushed.

“Shinichi! Shinichi! You’re back! Waaahhh!” the blue headed cried in his chest. Shinichi can tell that he must be showing a rather weird expression on right now because his face and eyes seem to be far too warm to be normal and something is blurring his vision.

“Hanato.” Shinichi didn’t know if he should pat the boy’s head or hug him back as Hanato cried in his blossom with no shame whatsoever.

“S-Shinichi~!” Hanato cried louder. “Where have you been all this time? Do you know how worried we are about you? What kind of vacation toke more than half a year? Why didn’t you contact us?!” He yelled into Shinichi’s chest.

Shinichi sadly smiles down at Hanato and closed his eyes before letting his full body weight into the floor as he hugs Hanato back.

“Shinichi?” A new rougher voice asked with shock. Shinichi opened his eyes to see a red head boy who has two moles underneath his right eye.

“Ryoma…” No, don’t cry!

“Shin-chan…” a sad voice called from behind Ryoma. Ryoma.

Is Ryoma… my one and only fiancee. Who can only see me as friends… No! Don’t cry!

“Seiichirou…” No, no. Don’t cry. Don’t you dare cry me!

“Ano, sorry to interrupt you guys but… Aikawa-kun, you know the student council president and the dorm president?” Asked Ryousuke as he scratches his cheeks in curiosity. I blinked.

Huh?

“Student Council President and Dorm President? Who?” I asked. Nah, it can’t be Hanato since he doesn’t like things come with great responsibility and it certainly can not be Ryoma since he doesn’t have the time or patient to be in neither of those positions. That leave only Seiichirou, who is the most responsible one out of all four of them. But for Seiichirou to be both the dorm president and student counselor president?

“Sakurai-san is the Student Council President of this school and-and Sanada-san is the dorm president of this dorm that you and I are staying in. Did I not tell you that this morning?” Ryousuke as with a question mark on his face. I shake my head a little to let he know that he didn’t say anything of that sort this morning.

Seiichirou is the Kaichou? And Ryoma is the Dorm president?!!! Seichirou, he could see it happening but Ryoma?! That bratty boy who just act however he likes and hates anything that doesn’t have to do with martial arts is the Dorm  President?!!! The demon that would kill anyone who as much as makes him read anything that doesn’t have martial arts in concepts?!!!

What in the world had taken place while I wasn’t here?!!!

Talk about the shock of my life… before I knew it, my eyes were already starting at Ryoma with a gaze that says: What the hell? Are you seriously?! Who the hell are you and what had you done to my best friends?!

“Shinichi?” Asked a sniffing Hanato from on top of me with confusion clearly evident.

“Hmm?” I draw my attention back to Hanato as he slowly gets off of me as he blinks in my face.

“…” What? What it’s it? Why is Hanato gone quiet? Is something wrong?

“Hanato?” I asked hesitantly.

“W-what happened to your hair Shinichi?” He finally asked. “A-and, why are your eyes golden? What happen to your green eyes?!” He asked a bit too hysterically for my liking.

That draw both Seiichirou and Ryoma attention to my looks. I avoided their eyes for sure this times. There is no way that I can explain how I my dark green hairs has turned into his weirdly totally White-turn-silver colors.

The whole cafeteria was in silence for what seems like forever to me as their stares drawn holes in my face.

“Shin-chan, is it just me or does it seem like you’re getting more prettier than before?” Ryoma carelessly asked with his eyes to me like something out of this world. Stupid blood! Don’t you dare blush at that comments! I told myself.

I can feel a vein popped on my forehead as he glared at him with the look that will kill him if he thinks like that again.

“Ahhh, Shinichi. Both of you guys get up from the floor. Hanato, you’re pretty heavy so get off Shinichi before he suffocates from your weight.” Seichirou finally snaps out of his daze as he remembers where they’re currently are. That’s right. Right now, everyone’s attention is them, especially the girls.

“We need to change location. Shinichi, where’s your room?” Seichirou asked as he look around. By tomorrow, Seiichirou is willingly to bet 10,000 yen that what happened just now will be all the girl’s hottest topic. Seiichirou mentally smirked. Now that Shinichi is here going to the same school as them, all the girls won’t be able to approached them again. Especially for Ryoma and Seichirou, who have a pretty big fan clubs that does NOT made out of only girls. By tomorrow, Seiichirou knew that Shinichi will have the biggest fan club in the whole school. And if what the principal said was truth, then it will only serve to make Shinichi more popular since his one of the “Tutor”.

“Ahh, my room? Is-!” before Shinichi can reveal his room, Ryoma’s hand was on his mouth closing it before he could reveal out anything.

“Shin-chan.” Ryoma started saying with a voice that sends chills down Shinichi’s spine. He only called me Shin-Chan when I did something that made he pissed off. And when Ryoma is mad, like truly mad, he’s scarier than Seiichirou when he went to his dark mood that always seems to involved Hanato.

What?! What did I do?! I think I said this before, but I’m going to say it again, RYOMA IS SCARY~! Glasses people are scary!

“Don’t reveal your room so easily please?” He didn’t ask. It was a command and I can’t do anything but nodded. Sometimes, okay, a lot of times, Ryoma scared me and I don’t even know why. I can see Seiichirou shaking his head and Hanato smiling a bit as he grabs my hand and nearly drags me toward the door without answering Ryousuke’s question.

“Ahh, they didn’t answered my question.” Ryousuke sighed out loud as he stood up from his seat and left the Gaming room, He have a character to level up tonight since is the weekend and weekend mean double experience point and three times more loots from monster drops. Still, he needs to prepare because Double Exp. mean Double Trouble. All the monsters are twice as strong,  Ryousuke whistle as he left the cafeteria, leaving a bunch of curious man that wanted to know who the beauty that came with him is.

Back at Shinichi, Seichirou, Ryoma and Hanato. They made to his room without any problem as Shinichi opened the door with a passcode made out of 10 numbers, making Ryoma looking at him and the code pads in wonder. Of course, Ryoma is going to be wondering since Shinichi is the only one in the whole school that have to have a 10 digits code password for his room. Must be for protection. Ryoma guessed.

Inside the room was what Seichirou, Hanato, and Ryoma expected of Shinichi’s room. Neat, organized, and a lot of free spaces. It has only a minimum amount of things that he needs like a table to study, two bookshelves, a bed in the corner, and a LOT of space left. yep, just like Shinichi’s personality.

“Take a seat on my bed if you want to or the chair.” Hanato didn’t even wait for the invitation before he pulls me and Seichirou toward my bed and seats down. Ryoma look around a bit before settling down into the chair near the bed that I intend to use for studying while looking at the picture of us four in full display clothes. He lifts his brows in wonder.

“Shin-chan, now explain to me why your appearance change.” Hanato was never one to hold his punch even if he hates violence. The curiosity and worries in his voice made my body nearly tremble in warmness.

And so, I explain to them of what had happened in the past 5 months and a half that I can remember. How the fires killed mom and dad and Yuki. How the old couple found me near death’s door. How I woke up to see that my whole appearance has changed.

I told them everything. Except about how my body heal itself because if I start with that, I wouldn’t have to tell them about he suicides. They will know. Seichirou have one hell of an instinct and Ryoma is really scary when anything that could harm me is mention so I’ll keep my mouth shut about that.

By the end, Hanato was crying while hugging my arms and Ryoma look like he wanted to throw up as Seichirou can barely hold himself before he cry. No one actually cried though.

“W-why? H-how come you didn’t call us Shinichi? We would have come for you even if we can’t do anything, we can still be there for you” Hanato sniffed as he tightly held onto my arm.

Tears clouds my vision.

“Sorry. By the time that I woke up, three months had already passed by and all the funeral had already long gone. I barely remembered that I was the only one that survived that night. But by the time that the doctors and police have explains to me of everything. It was far too late for me to call anyone of you. All I can do is try my best at Rehabs and hope that I can come back to Japan sooner. I didn’t even know that it would be this fast either.  It might be because I got better far sooner than anyone planned that I’m here now. I am still in rehabs you know? I still have another week or so to go before I can do anything rigorous.” I explain to them as I wipe away my tears, however before I could, Ryoma’s hands was wiping them out already. The tenderness in his hands just made me wanted to cry more.

“Geez, stop that. I’m not a kid anymore” I complained while nearly, nearly okay?, pouted. Ryoma has a strange smile on his face before letting his hands fall away from my face. For some reason, the spots where Ryoma’s hand’s touch is strangely hot.

The next couple minutes was spends in a comfortable silence. The only sounds that could hear was Hanato occasional sniffed and hiccup. Before we knew it, Hanato have fallen asleep on my arms(must be the crying), causing my arm to nearly fall asleep to before Seichirou scope his twin up and left the room after a ‘let’s met in the morning at breakfast’, leaving me and Ryoma alone in the room. Before he left, Seichirou give Ryoma a look, causing

For some reason, I get kind of nervous when Ryoma keep looking at me with that weird expression on his face.

“Ryoma?” I decided to ask him.

“Hmm?” He still looks at me weirdly.

“Do you know how to play Virtual Reality game?” I asked.

“Of course.” he answered as if it was the stupidest question that I had ever asked him off.

“Really?” Great! Now I don’t have to bother Ryousuke about helping me with the system and stuff like that!

“…Shinichi, just let me ask you. Have you ever play one?” He asked.

“Nope!” I smiled.

“…What the hell have you been doing for the past 17 years of your life?” Ryoma asked with a look that clearly says; requireSeriously!?

“Housework, martial art practices with my sensei-tachi(more than one teacher), school, hanging out with you guys, and more practices. Let’s see, about 30 % of it was for sleeping, 20% was for housework and all the others are either for school or for when I’m at the dojo with you guys.” I answered.

“…” Ryoma didn’t know if he should feel sorry for Shinichi for missing out for being too busy.

“So, can you help me?” I answered a bit hesitantly.

“Help with what?”

“Well, it seems that the requiresme to play this game [Destiny Ignition Exceed] but since I never play any virtual games before, I don’t know how to.” I explained.

“Oh okay, I’ll help you. Since we haven’t seen each other for so long, Wait here, I go get my PlayReader and show you the basic of how to play VR games.” Ryoma said with a small grin on his face as he left my room.

5 minutes later, he knocked on the door and I opened to find him holding onto a really machine that look like the old game system from the old day.

“Okay, let me connect this up first.” Ryoma said as he come inside and start connecting the systems. After that, Shinichi started to slowly show me how to control myself virtually. We spends a couple of hours playing Dynasty Warrior The 12th Rescue of Death as Ryoma show me to ropes. By the time that we noticed our  surrounding, it was already 12 midnight when the big clock outside the mansion strike down, Since it was really late already, Ryoma quickly when online and check the attendants before returning to his room for the night.

Long after he left, I still haven’t fall asleep yet. The excitement from playing Dynasty Warrior was causing my adrenaline to pump, causing my sleepiness to be no where to be found.

It was like me living as the characters in the game. Even if I’d turned off all the blood and stuff like that from the game. It was still….ahhh…sleepy…

_____Outside______

Outside of Shinichi’s room, Ryoma was leaning on the door as he listen to the soft snores from inside. Since the dorms  is nearly sound proof, Ryoma have a hard time fallen asleep due to his really sensitive ears but now, he is thankful that he could heard his crush’s soft breathing inside. It meant that he wasn’t dreaming. Ryoma smile softly before leaving for sleep himself.

Book 1 Chapter 2: The 29th Daughter of the Tao Family

Completed Edits: November 10, 2016

Tao Jinghua opens her eyes as she blinked in confusion for a split second. In her vision, she can see the ceiling of a painted silk bed that have two wings of red, a large blue butterflies and one large pink peony flower with a background of light green. Tao Jinghua blinked her eyes a couple of times before, as gracefully as possible, setting up from the bed. The first thing that she noticed was that her own body were strangely very weak. The next thing she noticed was that she seems to be sleeping in a bed from Ancient China. You know, one of those frame bed from the ancient time that wasn’t soft like the one in the modern time. It was made out of wood and the mattress was very hard as it was barely one inch of softness. Not that she cared but her active mind took noticed of this strange sensation under her body.

Tao Jinghua look around the room that she is in with a confusion that made she think it was a dream. Even though the sky outside should still be dark, inside the room, Tao Jinghua can see everything as if it was in daylight. The room that she is in was rather simple. A wooden tea table in the middle of the room, a closet in the far corner of the wall, next to the bed was a table with a bowl of water and a white towel, and a couple of meters away from the table that has the bowl of water was a hanging rack that had two robes of clothes hanging on it. Toward the other side of the wall was a large divider panel that clearly was made out of wood and paper. It didn’t take a genius to know that behind this divider panel was the bathing area. Why? Because there was a painting of a lake and two cranes painted in oriental style on the divider panel.

Where the hell am I? She thought quietly to herself.

Tao Jinghua takes a deep breath as she felt her mind going into confusion for the first time in ten years. That is, until 13 years’ worth of memories suddenly enter her mind, making her expression pale a bit as pain throbbed inside her brain. The pain was enough to make her vision blurred. Tao Jinghua’s expression darken for a split second as sweat gathered on her forehead.

Seriously? What is this?

The real owner of this body had the same name as Tao Jinghua. She is the 29th daughter of a Pottery family in a Xichang Town. According to this girls memories, this country is called Wuzhi and this town is in the southernmost part of Wuzhi. A little of fifteen days of walking toward the nearest town, which is the main import of sea food and salts. This town. Xichang Town, is very small, according to this girl’s definition of a small town. Small enough that there only needs to have one institution for every children, which take places when they are 4 years old to 10 years old.

This world is very similar to the Ancient China that Tao Jinghua knows of. However, there is a lot different perspective that this world has that the China on Earth does not have. One of them is the fact that beast like a dragon, phoenix, and all those fantasy animals are real in this world.

This is going to get some use to.

The second thing that is different is the fact that this world has immortal. No, really. Immortal. As in those that cultivates and can live up to thousands of years. Those immortals.

The third thing that made Tao Jinghua’s brain shut down in one mere second is the fact that there is no such thing as guns or nuclear weapons in this world. Any defense that this world have is all Martial Arts, Spiritual Roots Arts, and Divine Arts.

Does that mean that I can’t use or make my own pistol?

….

Shit!

One thing about Tao Jinghua’s hobby is that she’s a weapons collectors. She likes to collect old weapons and modified them into something else completely. For example, her Ruger SR1911 is a Semi-Automatic pistol that shoots a .45 Auto ammunition with a load of 7 bullets. However, after she modified it, the capacity of 7 bullets per load increase to 18 bullets per load. The average .45 Auto bullet has 467 Ft.-lbs. of energy at the muzzle, however, after modifying it, that 467 Ft.-lbs. of energy increased by another 180 Ft.-lbs. of energy at the muzzle, enough to kill a rank SS Martial Artist who practice Internal Martial Arts at close range. You have to know that one of the reasons why Tao Jinghua is so feared off is because of her 100% accuracy shooting precision and her guns. That was one of the reason why she was called the Silence Airless Master of the 25th Century. It was one of the reason, not the main reason but enough to causes her names to silently vibrate in both the underworld and the society world; or those that are intelligent enough to research about it. Anywhere where air is present, her bullet can penetrates through.

Most of the time, she didn’t even have to use her martial arts to get her jobs done since it wasn’t even worth it. A lot of her jobs ended without her even using her martial arts it all because her shooting precision was far too good, leaving her no chances to use martial arts. Enough that she was place in the First Ranked of Assassin in all large Country like the States, China, Russia, Australia, etc…

Her shooting precision was that good. She could shot up to 12,000 yard alone with her modified sniper rifle, which does not have the guided firearm long-range system install in.  This says more than enough details to how fearful Tao Jinghua is in the 25th century, when all guns have the guided firearm long range system installed in. Only hers doesn’t have it.

However, now, you are telling Tao Jinghua that this world doesn’t have guns?

This is going to get a long time to get used to. At least there is still swords and all other weapons. However, from this girl’s memories, weapons cost a lot of money since good irons in this world is different from the normal irons and steels in modern earth, in the 25th Century. In modern 25th century Earth, the strongest natural metal known to mankind is Tungsten, which have a strength of 1560 megapascals, 50 more strength compared to a couple of centuries ago due to the Earth’s changes. Which is why all Tao Jinghua’s weapons have at least a little tungsten coating on all of them.

However, here? There is no such thing as Tungsten. There wasn’t even any memory of Chromium metal in this girl’s memory.

This is going to be hard for Tao Jinghua, to be honest. And when Tao Jinghua is bored, a lot of people suffered.

Another differences is this world’s currency.

The currency in this world is different from the ancient china that Tao Jinghua knew of, too. These coins from ancient china were made of copper, iron, lead, gold and silver with different shapes, weights, and marks. However, the currency in this world was totally different. It is all purely made out of either Gold, Silver, Lead or some kind of iron called Red Iron, which looks exactly like tungsten, only in reddish color. The metals cannot be made into currency if there is another mineral mixed in. For example, a gold coin has to make out of 100% pure gold to be count as a gold coin. If there is even a little as 0.0001 of other metal, such as copper or lead, then the gold coin is melted down again to exact out the other metal, and left with only the gold.

After all, everyone in this world has something similar to Gold sensitivity and can tell if it has impurities in it or not. Yes, even Tao Jinghua can now tell if there is any other metal in the money that the original Tao has.

A copper coin, which is about the size of a 10 cents dime that the American uses, is the start of the currency. Normally, for a commoner, ten copper coins is already worth two days of food. So, what the old Jinghua like to count as 20 buns, which last two days if you eat nine twelves buns a day. A commoner’s year annual income is around 7 L.C. and that, it’s already a lot of money for them. The lowest that any working commoner will get per months is seventy to eighty copper coins in this small town, which was why this town doesn’t have any beggars or homeless person; the town’s elders does not like beggars in their towns so everyone was giving a job and a small resident to live in.

Tao Jinghua was surprised that this world actually have people who aren’t greedy for fortune and love their people like this town’s elders. This body doesn’t have any memory of associating with the elders but she does have memories of talks about them. They are a nice bunch of elderly men.

Anyway, the currency of this world is as below;

1,000 Copper coins = 1 Lead coin (L.C).

1,000 Lead coins = 1 Silver coin (S.C).

1,000 Silver = 1 Gold coin (G.C).

For some reason, there is no memory of what a red iron coin looks like in this girl’s memory. And then, after the gold coins, are the coins that large factions like sects and groups used called Diamond Coin that is made out of Spiritual Diamond. Tao Jinghua doesn’t have any memory of what a Diamond coin look like but she had been told that I look like a small fruits rather than a coin. So, she had no clue how a Diamond coin looks like even when one of her older sister is an immortal practitioners.

They are very rare, Diamond coins. Just One Diamond Coin is worth 10,000 Gold coins already. That said more than needed about the rarity of a Diamond coin for normal/mortal people.

From the girl’s memories, One Diamond coin can have as much as one hundred thousand  di[滴- meaning droplet] of Spiritual Qi mist, which mean that it has 100 drop of Spiritual Qi Spring. Just one drop of Spiritual Qi mist was enough to increase at least ten points of spiritual power. So, you can imagine how much one hundred thousand drop of mist is worth. Spiritual energy isn’t something that is easily gain after all. One drop of Spiritual Qi mist have as much as 100 point worth of spiritual energy, but because human’s body have too many impurities, they can only cultivate up to certain degree only. Or so this girl’s memories knowledge from the letters that were sent from her elder sister.

For cultivator of this world, meditating for 10 days can increase your spiritual power by 10 points. This discovery made Tao Jinghua very surprised. This is a just common knowledge that everyone in this world has. This levels of cultivation for immortal cultivators in this world is also a common knowledge too. After all, knowing the levels doesn’t mean that you can cultivate it. It’s all depend on talents, resource, comprehension skills, innate talents, arts manual, and hard work. If you don’t have the talent, the resource, the comprehension skills, the innate talents, and the manual, there is nothing that you can do even if you are working hard for it.

Not everyone can cultivate. Everyone can have the knowledge but it doesn’t mean shit when you can’t use it.

Well, whatever. It’s not like Tao Jinghua care without or not she can cultivate. Her martial arts is the kind that could be practice with or without Qi since she will be using Internal Martial Arts to infuse with it. Actually, it would be better if she doesn’t have Qi but that’s asking too much for this body.

Still, there is one question that Tao Jinghua just doesn’t understand. How the hell did the former soul of his body died in the first places? She should be dead not even an hour ago since rigor mortis isn’t even started yet. Taking into account of the temperature in this room, which was abnormally warm, this body’s former soul should be dead about 20 minutes ago.

Well, whatever. Since I am now her, living her life, I have to thank her. I still don’t even know why or how I die from that damn pearl in the first place. Tao Jinghua thought to herself. It’s not like she has any attachment to her former life. She only has a couple of friends that she trust. Ah, that’s right. The boss might be very pissed and annihilate the Taoist Temple since she did die there. Mei Mei will probably cry her eyes out and then sends all the government that is involved in that accident to the depth of hell. Yun, her other partner, will probably faint from shock and madness when he found out that Tao Jinghua died but that’s it. Tao Jinghua doesn’t particularly have any big attachment that would make her feel sad. She’s pretty damn bored with that world after 20 years of living in there. She did everything that she could and wanted already. Like learning all kinds of food dishes to even taking a part-time job doing dish washing. Let’s just say that she did everything that a lady could do, including Chinese embroidering.

That’s how bored she was when she wasn’t on a mission.

Ah, that’s right. According to her memories, when she turn 15 years old, this girl was supposed to marry the 4th son of the Tang family who owns a couple of large restaurants in this town. Finally, something that actually made Tao Jinghua looks forward to. After all, she died (?) before she was married after all so Tao Jinghua didn’t know what marrying someone was like. Right now, she is only 13 years old so she will have to waits another 2 years. From her memories, Tang Beifeng was a hardworking boy who is 2 years older than her. It should be fine. Marrying that kind of boy should let her experiences what a housewife is like.

Sighing mentally, Tao Jinghua gets up and start to get ready for the day according to this body’s daily routine. Since she’s the 29th daughter of the house, she and her two other sisters live together in a simple two stories house that has three bedrooms on the second floor while the first floor is where the washroom, storage room and a stone hearth room for pottery. Foods are delivery by the maids that her father hires so this girl doesn’t even know how to cook, unlike Tao Jinghua.

After she finished washing her face, Tao Jinghua went over to the table where a large glass mirror along with all the necessary that a lady use was on. The image that reflects on the mirror wasn’t the one that Tao Jinghua was used to. Her face was strangely white and doesn’t feel natural, she noticed that when she was washing her face. Her eyes are a bit larger than her old ones. The eyelashes are also longer. In one word, this girl has a face that will make even the goddess jealous. However, for some reason, this face is like a block of frozen ice. No, more like a block of wood that doesn’t move. Is it because she died that her expression is frozen in this natural position?

Her bangs were longer than normal, hiding her eyes and nearly half her face away. Does this girl have an inferior complex about herself? But that’s not possible since she clearly is more beautiful than all her sisters. She wasn’t bully either. She wasn’t hated by her father nor her mother. Her father has 5 wives so the family was pretty damn big after all. It won’t be strange if she was bullied but according to her memory, her father loves every of his child equally. Her stepmother isn’t a bitch either, unlike what Tao Jinghua had expected.

She has 18 brothers that are older than her and 4 younger brothers. She has 28 older sisters and 3 younger sisters. All in all, she has 53 siblings. All ranging from age 1 to 30 years old. That’s one hell of a lot of siblings. 8 of her oldest brothers are married and living by themselves now. 12 of her sisters are also married out. The only ones that are still living in the Tao household are her other 10 older brothers, two of them are immortal practitioners, her 4 other younger brother who is still in school learning how to read and write, 16 of her older sisters are still here along with 3 younger girls. Wait, 1 of her older sister is also an immortal too. Both her two older brothers and sister are students of Tuanfeng [摶風, meaning to rise very quickly] Sect, the largest immortal sect in Southern Wuzhi.

This girl has a pretty bright personality compare to Tao Jinghua since she likes to play around like a kid a lot. So why does she hide her face? Even her own fiancée doesn’t know how she looks like fully. No, it wasn’t just her fiancée that doesn’t know how she truly looks like, even her own mother and father doesn’t know how she looks like fully since she always has her bangs covering her eyes and half her face.

It’s not like she was afraid either. So what is with this girl’s personality of liking to hide her face? Well, whatever. Since Tao Jinghua is now living as her, she should continue hiding her face. Although there will be people who are suspicious about her since her expression can no longer smile like before. Oh well… Whatever.

After all, this is just a small town in this world, being too beautiful yet having no power to back her up will lead to her misfortune instead of helping it. Clearly, the former Tao Jinghua also noticed that too, which is why she likes to hide her face.

Besides, this girl spends nearly all her times in the stone hearths room, creating ceramics for the family, which explains why nearly no one in the family notice how she looks like fully. Even when the New Year’s events happens, she would rather stay in her room reading about how her brothers and sisters are doing in the sect than going outside to have fun.

The only time that she would go out is when her soon to be father-in-law and mother in law come visiting with her fiancée. Mainly because she is the Principle Fiancée so whenever he want to have another concubine, he must let her know and have her knowledge it. This is a law that the Kingdom created long ago to make sure that the husband doesn’t bully his wife by marrying a bunch of other wives. This law is the reason why the Tao family is so large yet doesn’t have internal struggles between all the wives for favorite of the husband. It is the reason why Wuzhi Kingdom is the most peaceful one out of all the other nine Kingdom.

December 31, 2179, A.D, Shanghai, China
Towards the end of the 21st century, Earth’s population underwent a tremendous change. Due to the flourishing economy and new discoveries in renewable energy, mining, farming and genetics; humans had longer, healthier and easier lives. Though, increasing the human population like crock coaches and mice.

The population doubled and, by now, numbered 16 billion people. In fact, that number was soon going to reaching 17 billion. To make sure that everyone have a place to stay, new cities were built, floating in the air and on top of the sea. In China, the major cities had their own floating counterparts, gigantic structures that hover in the skies above them, making the sight look like it come straight out from fantasy. These huge habitats could house up to seven million citizens on their own with no problem. Although, most of them are institute city, such as college based cities and private Military Island.

Advancements in renewable energy using seawater has heals the world and restored the atmosphere into a more blushful world. The clean edge technology had encouraged plant growth rate, turning the world lush and green, which results in the air more pure. Each floating city was at least 3,000 miles square wide and was able to house up to seven millions of people at the least when it comes to housing. Because of the new discovery of using sea water as energy, the earth’s atmosphere undergo a change that is noticeable in a mere 50 years. Greens started to spread everywhere due to the air, which results in plenty of trees growing taller than a hundred years ago. Trees grew taller and stronger, the air became purer and the environment began to balance itself like how it was back around the 17th Century, when majority of places have forests in each biomes.

In one of these floating city, the Tiankong Beijing Floating city, a big accident was currently happening. Hundreds of airship were leaving the floating city in a panic. In the middle of a large scientist lab that has thousands of different kinds of tools and machine, a girl with bright green eyes, long black hair, and white porcelain skins and have the body of an hour- glass was walking calmly to a monitor.

On the left side of her ears was a headset that is showing her a map of the building that she is in. On her hands was two long, over a meter long, swords. This girl was wearing nothing but a pure white wedding dress that fit tightly into her body, showing her legs and the white high heel that she is wearing. The white wedding dress was rather simple yet elegant, making the girl look like an angel descended from heaven. However, this angel isn’t a heaven angel but rather a hell angel in white.

As new energy got developed alongside with everything else, Martial Arts also got stronger as the air get purer, resulting in China gaining another additional patch of masters of Martial Artist. Unknowingly, Tao Jinghua is one of the top three Grandmaster of Martial Arts. She doesn’t have a specialty but that is why the assassin known as Airless Grandmaster is the most feared individual in the current time.

Even when the girl is wearing a high heel, surprisingly, she made no sounds whatsoever when she walks into the room with huge monitors on the walls. Naturally, that was the control room for the Floating City. Each control room is hidden very secretive however, it was very easy for someone like this girl to find it.

“Mei-Mei, what is the current status?” The voice from the girl in the wedding dress was clear and calm. Naturally, this girl is Tao Jinghua. The deadliest assassin of all times in the 25th Century. Today was her wedding day, however, to her surprise, the city started to shakes and warning alerts sounded throughout the whole city. She soon to be husband was killed when he pushed her out of the way from a falling pole right outside the wedding hall. He wasn’t the only one that got killed from it.

While everyone else was fleeing all over the place towards the airship, Tao Jinghua instead sighed out loud and take out her cell phone and called her trustee-partner.

“Air Mei, about 80% of everybody is now aboard already. In about 10 minutes, another wave of airship will get there. You have another 2 hours left until the city exploded.” A pissed off voice answered from the other end. Naturally, the voice belongs to a girl whom Tao Jinghua called Mei Mei. Air Mei was Tao Jinghua’s code name while Mei Mei was the codename of the other girl. They are partner in crime and closer than sister could ever be. If Jinghua didn’t know any better, she would have thought that Mei Mei was in love with her. Too bad, Jinghua knew that Mei Mei was in love with someone else and was going to marry him in a couple of months away from her own wedding, which haven’t take place, yet.

So, officially, she is still a single woman!

“Did you find out what is the cause?” Tao Jinghua asked calmly as she started to search the system for the cause of this calamity. Red alerts and bashing yellows letters were all over the computer monitor but it wasn’t what she was looking for.

“Yeah. I found the cause. Those stupid pig heads accidentally knock over dead’s door by accidentally infusing the hydro system with a virus and something else. What is this thing? A freaking damn hacking code?! No, wait. That’s a crack code! Stupid son-of-bitches! So this is what is causing the underground systems to be unstable. What of your end? You found everything?” Asked from the other end, as she continue to swear to no end, softly.

“Yes, I found the system’s files. I am now forwarding it to you. Is Shinny there with you?” Tao Jinghua asked with a small smile on her face as she listen to the continue cussing from her partner. The words from the girl’s mouth would have put the most shameless person into red but Jinghua was used to it.

“Yes, the boss is here. He is very pissed right now so he doesn’t want to talk to you.” Mei Mei chuckled at the end.

“It can’t be helped. I am quitting so naturally he will be very mad at me. Not to mention, I rejected his proposal too. I did tell him that I will still help him when a mission of rank SSS are available but he still wasn’t happy with it.” Tao Jinghua replies with a calm voice. The room shakes a couple of times as she pushed a couple of buttons on the keyboard before the monitor shut down.

“Airless Mei, you do know that our organization doesn’t like it when one of our members quit. They know too much that will causes a lot of trouble in the future. All the Elder agree only because they are scared of you.” Naturally, all the elders will be scared of Tao Jinghua since she is the strongest, fastest, and deadliest of an assassin that their organization, The Silence Walkers, had ever created. Still, as much as they feared her, they also wishes that she could at least be happy in her life, after that situation. So, no matter how much they wishes to bind her to the organization, they knew that this was the least that they could had done for her. It was let her go to experiences what a normal housewife life is like. They feared her but most of all, they near worship her as their goddess. The Goddess of Assassin.

Tao Jinghua was an orphan who was born blind. However, when she was only 5 years old, an accident happen at the orphan that she was staying at. The orphanage was targeted by a group of terrorist. She was born blind but her she doesn’t look like she was blind. As a result, one of the men grabs her to use as his hostage and injuries her eyes. Even though she cannot see, when her eyes are hurt that badly, naturally she will feel the pain.

Tao Jinghua had always been a calm girl even when her eyes are hurt. She didn’t make a sound because she knew that crying will only get her kill faster. However, because she made no sounds at all when her eyes are injuries, one of the men have the brightest idea of changing the hostage to another kid who will get scared easily.

That was her last straw. Tao Jinghua has no family but the orphan kids were her brothers and sisters. The Headmistress was her mother, the old man who like the headmistress was her father. She was happy there with everyone. However, suddenly someone is threatening their lives?

The next thing that Tao Jinghua know, she had already grab the men’s knife and cut his throat open. The scene that followed, Tao Jinghua remember everything clearly even though she cannot see the scene. Her hearing was more than enough to make up for it.

Because of her surprise attack, the other three man didn’t have enough time to get over their shock, so Tao Jinghua killed two more men in a flash. Tao Jinghua had always been the quietest one, the smartest one, the most intelligent one out of all the kids at the orphan. She cannot see but she learned how to read and write when she was only 3 years old. By the age of 5, there were no Chinese characters that she doesn’t know. All the books in the orphan’s library were read by her.

If you think that being blind made Tao Jinghua into a shut-in then you are mistaken. Tao Jinghua is blind so she doesn’t play with all the other kids like normal. However, she’s very athletic for her age. Her running speeds allow made the terrorist blinked in surprise.

Maybe it was because she was blind that she can sense a lot more things than normal people.

By the time that the last terrorist come to his sense, all his comrades were already dead. In his panic, he accidentally pulls the triggered on his hydro gun and blasts a hole through the corpse of his former companions.

The triggered off the hydro gun caused Tao Jing Hua’s hearing to suffer. However, luckily, that group of a terrorist was being chased by an assassin group. The assassin caught up to the terrorists just in time to prevent him from killing Tao Jinghua.

From then on, Tao Jinghua had been living with the Assassin group. That group is The Silence Walker. Since she was always been blind, she doesn’t really care if they help her eyes but the Young Master, who at that time was already 18 years old and had already earned his nickname of Shinny, force her to healed her eyes.

Back then, she was only 5 years old but now she is 25 years old. When Shinny is 15, he earned his nickname but Tao Jinghua earned her nickname when she was only 13 years old. Now, Shinny is the Boss of the Silence Walker and she is their top #1 assassin.

However, Tao Jinghua grows bored of a life of killing so she wanted to quit and get marry. She didn’t earn her nickname Airless by being a normal assassin.

And just when she finally get to married, her soon to be husband died right in front of her and the very city that she was born on is collapsing.

Tao Jinghua sighed out loud as she walks out of the lab and the airship’s platform. All that around her was chaos all over however, Tao Jinghua was strangely calm. She didn’t feel panic nor worried that she will die. On her way toward the Airship, she picks up a baby around 3 to 4 months old whose mother was dead. A couple minutes later, she also helps a small child of 3 years old who was shaking her dead mother, trying to wake her up.

“Alright, Mei Mei, I will talk to you later when I am home.” Tao Jinghua said as she click on a button on the headset and the line went dead.

She didn’t care if all the human in the world all die but seeing a child crying for their mother made her instinct as a woman awake so she helps any kids that she came across with. By the time that Tao Jinghua made it to the airship, there were more than 40 children following her. Some were still sniffing while other were shaking in fears.

“Miss! Please hurry!” One of the public workers saw the children behind Tao Jinghua, who is still in her wedding dress, and come running toward her to help her with the children. One by one, all the children get in the airship, including the baby in her arms.

The man that went to help the kids and the girl in the wedding dress look at the girl in a bewildered way. He doesn’t understand why the girl was so calm. Her expression doesn’t change even after he takes the baby in her arms away. She didn’t come into the airship either. Instead, he watch as the girl in the wedding dress turned toward a direction and narrowed her eyes before she vanished.

“!” A martial Artist! No wonder the girl didn’t panic when all this chaos was going on. The man thought as he got into the airship with the baby in his arms.

Tao Jinghua looks at the temple in front of her with a narrowed eye. In her profession, naturally, she knew what this temple of Taoist believer is.

Spreading her senses around the whole Temple, Tao Jinghua sensed that there were still another couple of people who is still alive. Narrowing her beautiful green eyes, Tao Jinghua vanished and reappeared inside the temple. She looks around as her eyes were met with an elderly man who was struggling to get up since the concrete pole fell on top of him. Strangely enough, there was no blood on him.

Tao Jinghua walks over to the man and pushed the concrete pole with nothing but a small push, and the concrete pole was smashed into the wall with a bang.

The elderly man looks at Tao Jinghua with a surprised look in his for a split seconds before he calmed down. Tao Jinghua helps the man up.

“Can you walk okay?” She asked quietly with no emotion in her eyes.

“Yes, I can, Miss Airless.” He answered calmly. Of course, he would know who Tao Jinghua is.

Tao Jinghua didn’t care either way. She let go of the elderly man’s hands and walk toward another elder who was still knock out. Tao Jinghua hit an acupuncture point in the man’s neck, making him wakes up nearly instantly, all the while gasping for breath.

She continued to wake the other two elderly man up before opening the door for them, which was jammed shut by a fallen stone pillars.

“This way,” Tao Jinghua said as she held the door for the elderly men until the very last one. Outside of the building that they come out of, a large ginkgo tree that acquires at least ten full adults to link arms to fully embrace it was lying in front of them.

“Let’s hurry. There aren’t much of time left.” Just as Tao Jinghua said that, the whole city shakes as if a great earthquake was occurring. The building behind them collapses with a bang as the other building started to shakes like there is no tomorrow left for them. Debris of wood, concrete and small stones flies all over the places. Some nearly smashed into Jinghua haven’t her moved away.

“!!!” All the elderly men’s face pale in fright as they nodded and start running toward where the airship are located. Tao Jinghua looks at the panicking elderly man and signed in her heart. To think that the 6 Great Elder of the Taoist Temple panics this easily. They still have a long way to go in their belief, she thought to herself as she taking out her two long swords- a mixed of Chinese Dao Sword and Japanese Katana, going by the name brand of Star Sword- and start to hacks the fallen debris of concretes from the fallen buildings.

Just as she slashed a large chunk of fallen concrete away from the Elderly Taoist, Tao Jinghua accidentally kicked a black pearl under her feet, causing it to bounce on her sword and rebound it toward her face. Seeing the small pearl being bounced back toward her face, Tao Jinghua calmly used her other hand to grab it.

However, what caused Tao Jinghua to be surprised was that the pearl just passed right through her hand like it has no physical form from the beginning. She didn’t even feel any pain nor discomfort when it passed through. Yet, strange enough, she could feel and senses that this pearl have physical form. What is this? A ghost pearl?

“What-” Just as she was about to asked herself, her mouth just happen to open a bit, causing the pearl to get inside her mouth and passed right through her throat like it have its own conscious.

“!!!” Feeling the pearl traveling down her throat, Tao Jinghua simultaneously control her throat muscles to stop the descending of the pearl. However, it was like the pearl is a ghost that doesn’t have a physical body as it travels down into her lung without a care.

The head Elder Taoist just happen to turned back to see an image that will shock him for the rest of his life, making him unable to forget about it even if he hit his head until he has amnesia.

He watched as the girl that everyone in the underworld and the Day world fear suddenly closed her eyes as her body fall to the ground. And then suddenly there was dark air of mist suddenly started to form around her body.

“!!!” His eyes widen in fear as the dark air started to shield the girl’s body, until it all vanished leaving only the two swords, a black and red design pistol, and her headset on the ground.

The Head Priest’s whole body shivered as he fainted.
